Merrill Gardens is a really nice place. It's right next to Balboa Park, which made it very expensive. It's a really nice place. The staff answered my questions and were really very easy to get along with. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. For most of the senior living that you go to, there's a certain time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At Merrill Gardens, it's like a restaurant. I really also like that they're very open. I suppose it's clean because it really looks nice. I was told they take a bus every Wednesday right up to the hospital.

Merrill Gardens has a wonderful cinema. It was very nice when you come inside. The rooms were very nice too. They have an exercise room and a library. They also have wifi for computers. They have a wonderful food, too. However, they didn't have a swimming pool.

Merrill Gardens at Bankers Hill was great. My mother liked it, but she is not ready to move in. I liked the facility, the location, and the way things were set up. I liked their activities and the person who gave us the tour. She was nice and helpful.

Merrill Gardens was very nice, they have a place that was perfect for us at that time, but we’re just not ready to move yet. They’re well planned, the people seemed to be very nice there, and I think it’s one of the best places in San Diego.

Merrill Gardens at Bankers Hill was very nice. The people were very friendly, and the place looked warm. Should we decide to go into a senior living, we probably would go there. The apartment was adequate.

I really like Merrill Gardens at Bankers Hill. I saw the studio, the one-bedroom, and the two-bedroom units. That facility is fairly new and the rooms are bright. I especially liked the room in the corner with a balcony. They have a place for grilling on the top floor. I like this facility because it is near Balboa Park where I can walk around. The staff was great and very pleasant. The dining area was very open. I like the fact that I could cook my own food inside my apartment.

Merrill Gardens is independent and assisted living. It’s modern and clean in appearance. It’s kind of like in the city, so there aren’t any grounds at all actually. The rooms are just very modern and updated. It’s very appealing, has an attractive look to it and is clean. I know my parents are not too crazy about the food though. They’re very caring, competent, and just very engaged with the residents. My folks are very very happy. However, I don’t like the point system that they use. Depending on how many services the resident requires, like if they have their medicine expensed to them, if they need assistance with their bath, getting down to the dining room, and every service that the resident has, they accumulate points. And those points are added to the cost translated to dollars. The more services you use the more points you accumulate and more you pay.
