We selected Vista Del Mar Senior Living for my sister. We thought the appearance was neat and clean. There was a lot of artwork, which was on the walls, which brightened up the facility and made it look inviting. The apartment was adequate in size. It was clean. We will be bringing her own furniture just to make her feel more comfortable. The staff was very knowledgeable, and she was very professional and courteous. The dining area was neat. It was clean. It had been spaced out to the COVID restrictions at this time. They did have a water bar and a coffee bar set up, which I thought was very nice. They had a TV room, they had a library, and they had different sessions scheduled in terms of arts and crafts, painting, and exercise classes.

Vista Del Mar was good. The staff I met was fantastic. The rooms were very good. I saw the residents playing bingo. The place was decent for the price, but I saw much better.

I liked Vista Del Mar and think it's a good place. The rooms were kept up and really clean, and the dining room looked nice. I got to look around a little bit and saw their nice quad area outside.

Magnolia Royale, which is now known as Vista Del Mar, is a very well maintained and managed facility. The staff and administrators are very very attentive and helpful with all of my families needs and concerns. We needed to find a place for my brother to live, as he (at age 57) suffered a major stroke, and although ambulatory, still needs his meals and medication managed due to his cognitive disability. The majority of the residents are of a more senior age and condition. VDM has lots of activities and gatherings should one desire to attend. We have him in a 1 bedroom private (not shared) apartment here. He seems to like it well enough, as it is a good size. And, he is located on a floor that is considered "minimum assisted" which makes him feel more comfortable about being in an assisted living environment. This is a fee based community, so you will pay for your room or apartment, then there are additional fees based upon levels of care or assistance provided. I am glad that Vista Del Mar accepted him, as we were having difficulty with other communities accepting someone of his young age, into an assisted living environment. Most of them are looking for social security/medicare clients. We just aren't there yet. VDM was ok with private pay.

I visited Magnolia in Long Beach (Magnolia Royale Retirement Center). The place was in an exceptional condition. It was probably excellent. One would have been very pleased to have their loved there obviously. The only issue is my uncle’s pension is associated with a $2200 amount monthly, so it would not have been feasible for him to be there. The staff was very professional. The place was immaculate in reference to cleanliness. They were hospitable. They have a large recreational room. They had activities listed on the board.

I toured this facility, attended meetings there and visited resident's. It bridges the gap between retirement/assited living. It is a upscale type of facility that is very self contained. The assisted living area has apt style rooms and they are spacious. It seems very safe with the full-time security and the low crime rate in the area. They are 1 mile from a hospital. They have a pool, bank and convience store. The staff are friendly and caring. I would recommend this facility .
