Palos Verdes Villa was OK. They had a lot of shared rooms, which I did not like. The staff showed me a couple of rooms and it was all furnished. The blanket in one of the rooms was so ugly. I don't know why I focused on that blanket, but it was really ugly. Most of the residents were in the rooms. Some of them were watching TV in a common room. I didn't care for this facility. The scenery around wasn't good. As soon as I was done with the tour, I left. I didn't stay there a lot. I only met the lady who gave me the tour and she was nice. She knew all the activities and showed me the weekly schedule. She showed me the grounds and they were nice. I just didn't like the bedrooms and the blanket that I saw. The dining area was nice and it was set up restaurant style.

My sister has been with PV Villa for about 2 years now. She has been the happiest I have seen her, especially after all her health problems. They are very friendly and when she had medical problems they let me know right away and in one instance, saved her life by getting her the help she needed right away. Now that her health has been improving she is active in all the different activities they have daily. She also loves the variety in the different food they offer. During these trying times I am happy she is at PV Villa keeping her safe and engaged. They always give updates on the facilities and what is happening so her family knows she is being kept safe. If you have someone you love that needs extra care or just needs a safe place to live, you should look at PV Villa for their happiness and your peace of mind.

PV Villa was the answer to our prayers. My sister and her support Cat are very happy in this clean, friendly, caring environment. Owner south and administrator Linda and staff are very intent PV Villa was the answer to our prayers. My sister and her support cat are very happy in this clean, friendly, caring environment. Owner Seth and administrator Linda and staff are very attentive to my sister’s needs and to any of my concerns and questions. My sister has many friends there. We can all sleep comfortably at night knowing she is well taken care of. She was appreciative of all who assist and befriend her.
Her room is large enough to accommodate her furniture from her condo. The bathroom just a few feet away from her bed is another plus! She enjoys her friends there and the activities. In addition, they arrange for her doctors’ appointments and medical procedures and provide transportation.

We really like Palos Verdes Villa. It has very nice people and a great staff. They provide activities for the residents, although everything is different now with COVID. They have movies every day, other activities, they have a room where they can use computers, and a pool table.

My mother has been a resident at PV Villa for more than two years. During that time, there has been virtually no staff turnover. The entire staff is pleasant and caring, even during this time of pandemic. They always have time to attend to a resident's needs, as well as providing updates and answering questions that family may have. The staff is most accommodating when arranging safe, outdoor family visits. (The only reasons for 4/5 for food and activities, is that my mother has limited food likes, and I am reporting as to her preferences; she also has limited mobility and well as other impairments that limit her ability to fully participate). From what I see in the facility, the menu is varied and well-liked by other residents, and there is a wide variety of available activities. We are completely happy with the care my mother receives, and could not wish for a better, more caring staff.

My mother moved into Palos Verdes Villa two years ago after a long hospitalization.
The rooms are a bit like hotel rooms in size, only with larger closets. The facility is on a hill, some some of the rooms have a view of San Pedro below and the ocean beyond. The building is not new but the rooms are cleaned daily.
The staff are patient and kind. The same crew has been there for two years since my mother moved in.
Before the pandemic (and, it is hoped, sometime after), there were -- and will be -- communal activities (ice cream socials, painting and exercise) .
The residents' transportation, meals, cleaning and medications are handled by the staff.

My mother is going on 101!! She has been in the facility for 9 months. Her room is spacious and always clean. She loves the food. The caregivers and staff are wonderful!! They are very caring and giving and very attentive to my mother's every need. She really can't enjoy many of the activities, but they are there for those who could. Once a month they have a birthday party which everyone enjoys. They were having specialty days but now with the pandemic they are being very careful with gatherings and following all the guidelines in place.

The rooms in Palos Verdes Villa were clean, neat, and the inside was well-manicured and maintained. The rooms were decent in size, and the dining area was clean. They had an outside area, but the way the building was sitting on a hill, I just didn't like the way it's situated. If they go out they have to be really monitored so they don't wander off. The lady administrator was nice, and she was informative. I did not have a meal, but I saw the menu, and it was well-balanced.

The rooms at Palos Verdes Villa are large, the staff is very pleasant, and the price is right. There were folk singers one time when I was there. My father is happy there, and he likes the place. He is comfortable there, and he enjoys the food.

Palos Verdes Villa is nice. They've done a lot with what they have, but I'm looking for something more renovated and up to date. I like that the service staff is very nice. They have an interior courtyard which was OK, but there weren't a whole lot of grounds. The food was OK and average, and the dining area was fine.

The staff at Palos Verdes Villa was fine. She showed us everything, and we liked the place. It was a little far from where we live, but it was one of our top choices. The rooms were very nice and well furnished. They had a TV room, and I think they had a card room. The dining room was very nice. There were some people playing cards and people watching a movie, but that was all that was going on when we were there.
Friendly residents

My 56 year old brother has been here now for over eight months. He had a stroke three years ago and has physical disabilities. This facility is upbeat and positive, with a nice level of activity. There is a large dining room that the clients seem to enjoy going to. The 'Fireside Room' has activities including sitting 'wheelchair' yoga, singers and a daily program with a choice of activities. The theater room has daily movies, there's a craft room with a pool table, and weekly outings in which the residents have input. The staff are caring and attentive and it gives me great peace of mind knowing he is here and well cared for.. The place is clean and very affordable. My brother pays $1800. a month for a shared room (large, with a view) and this includes the room, all food, supervision of his medicine and assistance with bathing. I think private rooms are $2800. and if you have looked around, you'll realize this is much less than other facilities charge. I highly recommend it for an active or semi active person.

Palos Verdes Villa would be very nice for my dad. Their amenities include a café, a restaurant, a pool table, and a bus for outings and transportation to doctors' appointments. The hallways were outdated, but the room that they showed me was nice, very spacious, clean, and very updated. It exceeded my expectations. The staff was very nice.

We wanted a big facility, and price was a consideration. A lot of facilities are much too expensive. The staff seemed very energetic, friendly, and engaged with the residents at Palos Verdes. Many of the people there are very physically disabled, and Harold is not physically disabled, he has mild Alzheimer’s and it wasn’t good for him to be living alone any longer. The food is pretty good, and they have adopted somewhat. They are very careful for people who have trouble chewing. It is a border between San Pedro and Rancho Palos Verde.
It’s an old hotel, so one of the reasons that their rates are astronomical even though they have a Palos Verdes address. It’s well-kept, but it’s not as busy as some new facilities. They will do medication and assist with people getting in and out of bed, but they are not a medical facility. The engagement of the staff and the people seemed to be a little with it than some of the others.
This was $2700. We called several, but they are $4000; we can’t afford it and I can’t believe we found a very affordable place at Palos Verde.

I have responsibility for my elderly aunt who is in So.Cal and I live in No.Cal, so when it became necessary to find a care facility for her I engaged a professional to assist me. I visited Palos Verdes Villa, met with Linda Cardenas, the administrator, ad well as her boss, Seth. I was impressed with the caring attitude of Linda herself, but also with the compassion they exhibited toward me in meeting my needs when I could not possibly handle them myself locally. Linda and the entire staff are friendly and efficient and have cared wonderfully for my aunt. I receive regular updates on any pertinent "happening", phone calls if questions arise, and know that when I have a question it will be answered almost immediately (based on when I send the request or leave a phone message). My aunt is happy, so that means I am happy.

My grandfather has been at Palos Verdes Villa for a few years. The staff and care he receives is outstanding. I've spent a lot of time at the facility and the atmosphere is great. I have a lot of peace of mind knowing he is so well cared for.

I didn't care for Palos Verdes Villa. When we first came in the door, it smelled. We asked for the person who we were supposed to be meeting with, but nobody could find her. However, when we did find her, she was a very friendly person. When we went on a tour, this facility looked like a home that had been converted from a hotel or motel. The hallways were narrow. The whole place was dark and gloomy. The elevator was small. The place was unkempt and kind of gloomy inside. The residents all looked like what I would never want my mother to look like; they just sat and stared. I told my sister that I don't feel comfortable leaving Mom there.

We visited Palos Verdes Villas, everything seemed very positive there. This place is relatively affordable compared to some others. The facility looked clean and well maintained. The staff is very nice too. The room size is okay for shared living. There are rooms for activities. Transportation to doctors is provided which is nice as well.

We chose Palos Verdes for my Dad because of the price. He got his own private room for a very reasonable cost. The room was big and clean. The entire facility was clean and well organized. The people that were working there were very friendly and accommodating and they are able to work with us. They seemed like they cared about his well being. The residents have equal amount of men and women. It wasn't like mostly men or mostly women. The activities seemed to bond them together. They have exercise programs, a pool table, bingo and many others. They also they the residents out twice a week. They take them to the store or to the doctors or treatments. Of course transportation is provided if they need to go out.
