I visited Sierra Regency, but that's not the one my friend chose. It was not an official tour. My sister has a friend who resides there and so we went to visit her, and while we were there, we just walked around and looked at the facility. So I didn't take an actual tour where somebody from the place showed us around and all that. However, I was very impressed. I didn't talk to anybody about how much it costs, so I have no knowledge of what they charge to reside there. But I was very impressed with the facility itself. They just have everything. They have a heated indoor swimming pool, they have all kinds of activities, they have a lovely dining room, they have a pool table area, and they have a very nice outdoor patio seating area.
The apartment was very nice, and it had a very nice little fenced-in patio. The view outside my friend's room was very lovely. It was all trees and plants and things. She didn't look out on any buildings or anything; she looked out on a very nice wooded area. They also have their own hair salon. The apartment has a living room area with a little kitchenette off of it, and she had her own separate bedroom and also her own bathroom.
I would have liked to have known what the cost was, but they were not very revealing about that when I phoned. I had talked to somebody on the phone, and they were reluctant to tell me the cost. And that was the only thing that troubles me about the whole thing. We like to know what they charge for their rooms and service of course. I also looked online. They had a lot of information online and pictures. That's the only negative thing I would say. I would like them to have been more forthcoming. It seemed like they were reluctant to tell me what they charge and that was kind of the case with several places that I talked to on the phone.

what An Adventure!
After the loss of my husband of 75 years, I left our beautiful home for a new beginning. My two daughters convinced me after visiting several retirement homes that Sierra Regency was the best! now i wake up every morning eager to rush down for a delicious breakfast and greet my dear friends at our table of four. we are blessed to have space to care for one another, share stories and laughter in our eight apartment courtyard. a dedicated staff is also ready to assist us when we need help with housekeeping, coordinating events an keeping us safe!
I explore the many gardens and follow the creek across bridges where small animals reside, such as a mama turkey and her 10 babies, squirrels, and a delightful bird sanctuary. may more surprises are indoors. i can choose to be active in the indoor swimming pool, fitness room, putting course, or horseshoe pit. A library, comforting chapel, beauty shop, or spacious lounge are available spaces to relax and engage in friendly conversation. let me not forget the many activities such as movies, tours, family gatherings, games and the favorite hosted Friday afternoon social. of all these special interests, the caring and capable staff, always eager to help, is most important. - Resident of 8 years

Sierra Regency is the one that we're probably going to go with. We went there again yesterday and took another look. We're pretty well settled on that one. Everybody was very friendly. They answered all our questions, and they just had everything that we wanted as far as recreational things to do there. It was set up to where you can have your family come and enjoy the place. If they want to stay overnight for a couple of nights, that was fine. All the others were geared more towards the idea that they can come in and visit, but they can't join in on any of the swimming or anything like that.
They took us into the dining area, and we ordered off the menu. Even the chef came out and talked to us, and he was very nice as well. We had a simple lunch, but we would give it a "five." He went over the menu with things that they had, and they were all very good. He said if there's something we want that they don't have, just let to him know, and he would try to accommodate, so that was good. The facility was very clean. It had a lot of nice scenery. We could go on the balcony and have a cup of coffee. It's really nice to look out from up there.

The staff at Sierra Regency is fine. We've gone through a lot of transitions, but I think a lot of people have done that, like the restaurant people and also the cleaners. But I think it's been harder lately, I think, to keep workers. Some aren't quite as good as they'd like.
The food is not quite as good as when I came in, but it isn't bad. We have a selection. If you don't like what they have for that day, there's quite a few other things you can get, like you get salads, hamburger, hot dog, a number of different things, fish of the day, so that that's an advantage.
The upkeep is great. The reception area is really nice. We have a washer and dryer in each of our rooms, which is to me a real plus. So many have it down the hall. And the other thing is the pool. They do try to do a lot of activities now that we've all had two vaccinations and so forth, so now more things are coming back. They have a travel pub, which includes going to different countries, and included in that is talk about it in a film, some champagne, and food of the country. So that's kind of a fun thing. They also have all different kinds of card games. I play bridge, canasta, and pinochle.
The value for money is good; however, I've been here for a while now, so the cost might be different today than it was back then. The first year they didn't include a raise, but they have done that since at three percent.

I have nothing, but good things to say about Sierra Regency. Everything has been great. It's very friendly and clean, at the same time it feels like a home for the residents. They have a hair salon, a chapel, and activities. There's a full kitchen inside the apartment, so it gives them the option to cook, but they don't have to because it's all done for them. There's a stackable washer and dryer inside. My aunt has a one-bedroom and it's a very good sized in comparison to other communities. The staff is one of the best things about this place, and their food is really good for a senior place. They're pretty reasonable in comparison to the other facilities.

I saw Sierra Regency, and it was only independent living. Everything is very nice, and they have a pool. The apartments were very nice, but eventually my mother will need assisted living, and they do not offer it there. They have pretty much everything, and that would have been my second choice.

What a place. They feed me,clean my room & make my bed. That way I have time to to use their indoor heated swimming pool & of course the jacuzzi.
It is a tough life "BUT" I can handle it.

My parents really like Sierra Regency. They lived in a temporary unit, and now they're moving into a permanent unit. They have large rooms and it's bright and sunny. They have a pool, they exercise in the pool, and they do a lot of things. They also have entertainment a couple times a week and things like that. They provide two meals a day, and my parents make their own breakfast. They do the housekeeping and there's a washer and dryer in their own apartment. The staff is very helpful and professional. My mom and dad say they love the food. They say it's really good. The place is very clean and nicely laid out.

Sierra Regency is the best place I have every visited. The owners and staff are the most caring and loving people I have ever met. The way they took care of my maternal aunt is exceptional and I am highly greatful to them. They walked me through every step to ensure we were on the same page. The energy, care, atmosphere and cleanliness at Sierra Regency helped in making a difficult decision easy for me. I only hoped I found them sooner!!

Sierra Regency is such a wonderful place. One of my friends took me here to show how it is like because I was looking for a place for my aging father. I must say here that it is the best facility for seniors. It is professionally managed, highly organized, clean and beautiful. There are many communities which ignore the needs of seniors but here at Sierra Regency, resident’s health and what they need is top-priority. The staff working here is exceptionally and very responsive to the resident’s needs. I highly recommend this community to those who are looking for professionalism, safety and kindness for their seniors!!

What I like about Sierra Regency is that there's an openness when you walk in the door, and it feels like you've walked into a resort. The lobby is beautiful. The people are very friendly. There's a desk like at a hotel, and the people are always smiling. It looks like they're having a good time and most of them are welcoming ambassadors even though they don't have that role particularly. They try to greet people with a smile. I haven't been here long, but the maintenance crew has been fantastic about taking care of little things that needed to be fixed.

I moved into Sierra Regency two months ago. I am a fairly young senior at 63. SR has so many wonderful activities, outings and fun things to do. The entire staff is fantastic as they all treat the residents as family and friends. They make sure that the residents are happy. The facility is beautiful, the apartments are well taken care of and updated and modern.. I look forward to being here when I am 93!

My father-in-law is in Sierra Regency. It is awesome. They have two meals a day and housekeeping on Fridays, so he gets his apartment cleaned. They have all kinds of activities for him. It is very safe, and we absolutely love it. They have movie nights, and they take them out on outings, like to church on Sundays and doctors' appointments. It is really a great place. The staff is very friendly and know everybody's names. It is very personal. Each individual unit has its own washer and dryer, and there is a room on each wing with stackable washers for bigger items. There is a barber shop, a massage therapist, workout room, and a pool. You can go walk around the place because it is locked. They lock the gate at 5 so nobody can go in unless you know someone in there.

Sierra was very nice, but it was hard to get to, and there's traffic. It took me 15 minutes to find the place. It seemed more like a hotel than a place to live, but that's where mom wants to go. The staff seemed very professional. The dining room was beautiful, and the food was beautiful. I just don't think it's homey, and the location was not good for me at all. They have to make the directions on how to get there clear in their website.

Overall the layout was nice, and I do call Sierra Regency as a casino place community because it looks like you are in a casino when you’re in it. It’s very dark entry and the carpeting was dark. The woman and the person who gave us tour brought us into their office, and literally, there is dark green carpeted and screened walls; it’s literally like walking in a cage. They have beautiful murals in the main area that were really pretty, but the darkness of the place really puts a damper on it. We like the level of activity; there were people out, they had a band playing at lunch time, and people going to the pool and taking class. It was really good to see people you see in the facility; that was a bonus. The food was very good -- nice portions, very delicious, and good servers.

Sierra Regency was an older building that's fairly nicely done in a fairly nice complex. We had a good tour with a knowledgeable manager who took us around. It seemed large and they had random parking. It was OK, but I thought it was dark. The windows did not have a lot of light coming in. It seemed like a huge motel to me. I didn't care for it. The colors were dark and dreary. It had dark woods and dark hallways but was very clean and not terribly inexpensive for what it was. It was on the higher end, which was fine.

Sierra Regency was a gated area, which I liked. The place itself was very nice, and the rooms were very nice and spacious. One thing that I really like is that they have an indoor swimming pool that's maintained by the Arthritis Association and the Arthritis Association comes out several times a week and gives instructions on exercising in the pool. It's really good for people like me that have arthritis. My sister and I went to visit, we ate lunch there, and it was extremely good. The dining area is nice, open, and clean. The employees were very nice and very helpful. They have an area where you can walk around. They have all kinds of activities, and they have shuttles that take you to doctor's appointments. The hospitals are close, and it's just very convenient. I would recommend them.
