The Eskaton Village Carmichael was very nice. The facility is beautiful and they have very nice amenities like the pool, exercise equipment, and the restaurant that looks like the food would be really good. The person showing us around was very, very helpful.
We saw a variety of different-sized rooms and it was a good experience. There were one and two bedrooms, there were apartments, and there were cottages. There was a 1-bedroom with a den too so it has a lot of variety. Some were on the ground floor and some were on the upper floors. One place has 3 levels and they're all very tastefully decorated. The floors and the paint and all that were very tastefully done.
They have a lovely indoor pool, several workout rooms with nice equipment, a library, and a game room. They have just about everything you can think of. There are even places to walk. We looked at their independent living.
They provide rides to stores, doctor's appointments, and things like that, which is very convenient.

We toured Eskaton Village Carmichael. It's a great place, it's wonderful. They had everything. I can't think of a thing wrong with that place except for the price, it's so expensive. They have cards, miniature golf, a swimming pool, everything. If I were to go to one, it would be Eskaton. The staff was wonderful, she was gracious, she knew everything that was going on, and she knew the people. We walked by, and she knew everybody by name.

I was in Eskaton Village Carmichael. It's a very nice facility on thirty-nine acres, so it had large grounds. There was a three-story building of apartments. We were in one of the row houses. Other facilities called them cottages, although there were several of them that were strung together. It was really much, much nicer than just about anyplace else. It's almost like having a house. The building I was in was six apartments all attached to each other like a row house, and we each had our own garage. They had two swimming pools, but I didn't use any of that. There's a big pool that has recently been housed indoors with a glass roof. I've walked around it, but I've never been in it.

Eskaton Village Carmichael is a 36-acre beautiful property. You have to go through a person at a gate before going in. I think 30 years ago, it was really the place to be. It was grand, but when you go in, it's very dated. It looks like something from the 1980's, and it looks a little worn. It has a gift shop, you can get your drugs there, it's really high end that way, but you have to buy a house there, and it was just too big. I couldn't walk from the house to the pool or to meals. You'd have to be on a scooter or have a golf cart.
The person who toured me was very nice. They had a concierge doctor and he had his own office there, so it's like really living in a neighborhood, and it has a big dome over the pool so they can use it yearly. We looked at a rental, which was very nice, and there was a big room where people were making things, and I think they were just finishing up on Easter egg baskets when I was there.

My friend was in the independent living at Eskaton Village Carmichael for six or seven years. It was too expensive, but it was good for him to live a normal life there and have his kids visit him. His kids could stay overnight in an extra room. His apartment was excellent too. He had three rooms in his apartment. It was very comfortable, and it could fit all of his furniture. He was happy with it. Everything was very nice. The staff members were very easy to get along with. They were very friendly. They knew my friend very well, and they were always there for him. I like the facilities too. They had a couple of extra rooms where we could stay and play cards. The dining room was very nice. The people serving lunch were friendly and very efficient too. The food was very good. It was well cooked. If somebody couldn't eat anything, they would make suggestions as to what else he/she could have.

We went to Eskaton Village Carmichael. They invited us to stay for dinner, so we had dinner with them and I liked it. However, it wasn't a comfortable fit like the other place I saw. The food was excellent. It was nice, clean, and quiet, and I liked the three levels of care because I want to go to a place where I could stay and not have to go some place else when I need more care. It was very nice.

Eskaton Village Carmichael is beautiful. It has an enclosed pool, 9-hole putting green, a very large cafeteria/restaurant, and beautiful grounds. The apartments were a little larger than most places. It was the best of all the centers I visited. The staff was very knowledgeable. The food and the dining setup were very good. You name it, they've got it. They had exercise rooms and classes, a huge hot tub area, massages, beauty parlors, and people can ride their scooters because it's a large place. They also have music, movies, sing-alongs, and plays.

Wonderful experience having lunch. It felt like a brunch at a very good hotel restaurant. Variety of food is amazing. Food tastes great! Very good attentive service. This would be one of the reasons to move into Eskaton on Walnut!

I was considering moving my father into a apartment in independent living of Eskaton. Then I found out how rude and disrepesctful the dining room manager is. She made one of the residents cry and yelled at her infront of everyone.

I regularly (Sunday brunch, Thursday lunch, Tuesday breakfast) visit my mom who is in memory care, and I would rate the services provided as excellent. The caregivers, assistants, and food service folks are always cheerful and caring. I am very happy to have my mom staying at Eskaton Village Carmichael.

I love how friendly the residents and staff are. The food is always excellent and beautifully presented. The wait staff are mostly college age and very attentive to our needs. There are many activities and committees from which to choose. Therefore, we are always interacting with others, keeping our brains and bodies active. I believe people live longer here! I consider

We’ve chosen Eskaton Village because of the beautiful grounds. They have water aerobics as part of the fitness program. There are different meals plans, where they can eat one, two, or three times a day. The staff is very informative

I always enjoy eating meals at Eskaton as the selection of items is excellent and of delicious and tasty quality. The service is wonderful as staff are helpful and happy to serve. Anita, especially, is wonderful to my mother and me for anticipating our needs and greeting us as "family". Always delightful to be in her hands!

The apartments are really nice in independent living at Eskaton Village Carmichael. The rooms range from 500 square feet up to 1,200 square feet. The dining room is very good restaurant-style dining. It has a swimming pool, hot tub, putting green, and a lot of transportation options, like a shuttle that can take you to your doctor's appointment. They can also drive you using your own car to your appointments. They offer three meals a day, but Mom only pays for one. They have a full-time nurse and some really good professional people, as well as an Alzheimer's support group.

Eskaton Village was not as friendly and a little bit colder because people looked the other way and were busy. It was beautiful. The rooms were comfortable and nice. You put your own furniture in it, so it would look the way you want it to, but that just didn’t appeal to me personally for what my sister-in-law would need.

She picked Eskaton Village Carmichael. It’s an expensive community. If you have the money you can live there. They have everything available to you. People know and care about each other.

I have been a resident of Eskaton for a year and a half. Moving here was one of the best decisions I have ever made. It is a very safe and nurturing environment with all at the extras one could imagine--beautiful friends, pastoral grounds, security, a lovely dining room, fairness center and enclosed pool, and 24 hour security. Life is good!

Eskaton was very nice inside, and the rooms were large. The dining room looks fine too. The activities were very good like bingo and crafts. I really like the facility itself and the apartments. The staff was very helpful and caring.

We liked Eskaton because it is less than a mile from where we live, and my father had been there before he passed away. They have gone through some changes, and I really could not answer even on a scale how they were other than my experience with them prior was positive. From what I understand, security was good.

This is a Disneyland for older adults. They WOWed me with the knowledge and professionalism of the sales ladies and everyone I came in contact with during the time I was touring. They have so much to do and see as well as many differnt options in living quarters. They have cute cottages. I loved the 2 bedroom cottages and before I left I put my deposit down and am so excited to be moving in this spring. I am so glad I found Eskaton Village.

I was looking for a facility that had independent living with its own living quarters. I have a dog and I don't want to live in an apartment with a dog. Eskalon Village had a little cottage that was available, one bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchen and living room. It was nice because it was like your own home. You're not living with someone attached to both sides or above you or below you. It was just an independent house and they were going to do a lot of remodeling to it. They're exceptional and very good at what they're doing. They have very helpful employees and the food is good. They provide a lot of transportation, meals and housekeeping. Everything about Eskaton Village was fine but it was too expensive. I just couldn't afford to live there.

It is a gated community which, in general, I tend to disagree with most of our cultural idea of how to care for our elderly, but they regularly bus in performances, and bus residents out to concerts, events, church, and the like. When I had to deal with staff members, all of them had a clear idea of their duties and who to seek if my questions were out of their knowlege base. It felt a little bit like dealing with the staff at a Disney World resort. Almost anyone was able to answer my questions, and they all answered them with the same, non conflicting, answers.
