My wife will be moving into Canyon Trails. I like the place. It was clean, and the personnel was nice. They all seemed to be friendly and kind. They dropped the price down by $700 for five months, so they're helping me with that. The rooms were clean. They said they have board games, they have workouts and physical therapists, and several really nice things. They have a courtyard to go out and sit with your loved ones and a family room where you could sit with them and do different things. There could be some slight improvements but, overall, they're nice.
There are supposed to be some specialists working with my wife to try to improve her memory. They have a psychiatrist who could work with her because she needs some medications to calm her down. It's super secure. The only elevator that goes to the garage is for staff only. They don't have a parking lot for visitors. You have to call and they'll open the garage. The garage is very dark, then you go to an elevator and wait for them to come down and pick you up. It's very cumbersome, but I know it's good for security.

My dad has moved into Canyon Trails. It's very clean. I like the staff. they were very helpful and welcoming. My dad is very comfortable there. I like the patio that they can go out to. The dining hall is very nice and clean. His room is clean. They have housekeeping once a day, so it's very nice. They have bingo, trivia, and Zumba. They have physical therapy. He enjoys all the arts and crafts that he does with them. I would definitely recommend them. We're very pleased with them.

My friend moved into Canyon Trails. He's in memory care. We chose this place after looking at probably over 60 places because the people are extremely caring, loving, and very attentive. The services they offer are great. The place is clean, newly renovated, and everyone is just lovely.
Their memory care unit is a locked facility and they have two levels of care there. He is in the lower level, so that was good, and the people are very caring and very attentive. The rooms are lovely and newly renovated. They have lots of activities for them. They keep them engaged during the day. They have some beautiful outdoor spaces that are safe and secure. They do trips with them and the people are just really caring. Of all the places I looked at, the pictures they have on the website are actually what the place looks like. It is nice. When he moved in, they put a big red ribbon on his door, welcoming him with a sign and he cut the ribbon to go into his room and he got lots of attention. It is a wonderful, caring place.
They have different group activities. They encourage everyone to eat in the main dining room and to communicate with one another. They have crafts, they do field trips, and there are outdoor areas where they do events for the residents. They keep them engaged during the course of the day and keep their brains working as much as possible. They have a beauty salon. The administrator, Susan, and one of the head people, Anne, are just wonderful, caring people who have been in the industry for many years and understand what's needed to take care of people with memory problems.

My family member is in memory care, which is hard. But, with the (incredibly sensitive) support of the staff; the comfort of the room; the accommodations allowed to family; flexibility with food; they have been comfortable and well supported at this time. This means a lot to the family.

My mom has been at canyon trails memory care for around 1.5 years due to dementia. The staff there have been amazing. From Samantha at the front desk to the med techs Diane and Sandra my family has been so happy. Mom is safe and cared for, that’s the most important thing. Due to Covid we can’t be there as we would like but staff is great about keeping us up to date with any changes with moms behavior. Dealing with a loved one with dementia is hard and we are grateful for the staff here

My experience with Canyon Trails has been very good overall. Everything is quite satisfactory in terms of the staff and the location; it's been a pleasant arrangement so far. My wife's room there is sparse, but it's nice and clean. We furnished it with a few pieces. It's not home, but it's OK. She's not a big eater, which is a problem, but last night was the first time I saw her eat everything. I have also tasted the food and it's OK. They have a lot of activities for the residents, although she doesn't get involved. There are four of them that sit together at every meal and they're the healthiest residents there. Some of the residents look like zombies sitting in their chairs. Some of the activities include passing a great big ball back and forth, they have sing-alongs, they take them out to the patio to relax, they also take them out on short walks, they have musical entertainment, and bingo. The staff tries hard to take the residents out of their rooms and out of their beds. The staff is good, and everybody eats the food. It's expensive, but I'm sure it's worth every penny. Still, I was shocked when I got the first bill.
