My husband had stayed in Palm Grove Health Care, and I think their services are excellent. The staff is very caring, very attentive, and things didn't happen. They follow protocol, and their building is secure. So, you can't just walk in or walk out. Sometimes, he stays in a shared room, sometimes he's in a room by himself, but they're all very nice, neat, and clean. Because of COVID, all of their activities are kind of restricted. So, the activities person has been going into the rooms and doing activities with the person. They do have activity rooms for them to use, and I think they were at one point easing people into the areas. But now, it's probably slowed down. They're surrounded by a fence and locked gate, so they know when anyone is coming in the gate to get to the building and they have very nice landscaping with flowers. They're expensive on a monthly basis.

my experience at the facility was not what i had expected at all. I was hoping for it to be a nice place for my grand father to be living in but it was not that at all. the smell of the facility was horrible, the patients were wandering around the hallways as if they were lost, the nurses did not help them get around in there wheel chairs. Tv's were extremely loud in the rooms, my grand father was wearing old pajamas, not the ones we had bought him, one patient even tried to escape by climbing over a fence. The nurses were very rude in there also. I would not recommend this facility to any one. I expected my grand father to be placed in a home environment with people who would care for him. I was very disappointed in what I saw when I went to visit him.

The staff seemed friendly, some more concerned about the patients than others. I did not like the fact that many elderly people were wandering around the facility in their wheelchairs as if they had no idea where they were. My father was taken care of basically, but not as well as I would have liked, being that I was so far away.
