The Palms At San Lauren was nice. It was great, but they didn't have anybody of color, so that was my only concern. They have exercise, artwork, puzzles, and dominoes. They have all of the amenities that I was looking for. They have a full menu, and the dining service was pretty big. The area I went in, had about 50 members. But the community overall, the level of care, like independent living and assisted living.

My uncle felt very comfortable when he first went into The Palms at San Lauren, and that's where he is now. He liked the appearance of the place, and the staff was very friendly, very helpful, and overall, it was just a good fit for him. It was also closer to where I live, and he wanted to be within a short distance from me, and not at a far out place.
It's very well kept, very clean, and very sanitary. They take pride in what they do. They have a theater for them to watch movies, an activity room where they can play bingo, morning exercises, and little field trips where they can go out and about. They take them out on their best to kind of get out and about. I feel that they've got enough stuff to keep my uncle busy and keep him active. For the care that he's getting in the facility (where he's able to live and the security of the place and everything), I feel that it's a good value.

The Palms at San Lauren was fairly new. It's well kept, it's well maintained, and it does not have as many people. There were enough people to interact with, but you won't feel like there were hundreds of people. The staff was nice too. I saw the menu, the kitchen, and the dining facility, and everything was great. It's a very nice environment, and it felt a lot more personable.
