The staff not very informed. It takes a lonh time to get anyyhing done. I called and got no answer. Nothing. The place needs an overhaul big time. Atention to food is a big issue. Everything is done out of habit. No thinking envloved

My sister moved to Villa Elena Healthcare Center at the end of July. I'm very impressed with them. The people, administration, and the case worker bent over backwards to help us and they're very kind, professional, and pleasant. I can't praise them enough. I think they're great and the place is pretty clean.

Villa Elena was understaffed and overworked. I pulled my father out because he was suffering from patient neglect. It was two persons per room and institutional, like a hospital. However, the female administrator really impressed me as she is a registered RN.

Villa Elena is an older nursing home environment with friendly, helpful staff. Parking is convenient. The outside landscaping of tall cactus complements thick, Spanish-style entrance doors. The inside is decorated with plain tile floors, cream walls with wallpapered border accents. This older facility is usually decorated for seasons and holidays. The staff members reflect genuine care and concern for the patient's well-being. Villa Elena's has an excellent Activities Department that offers a wide variety of congregational activities for the residents. The rooms are quite comfortable and adequate with tones of cream and light green.

While I was visiting Villa Elena I had a wonderful experience. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. The staff was of top quality and always checked of their patients even if they were occupied with another task. The facilities were very well kept. When I looked around the facilities the floors were always swept and mopped. The residents were given daily activities. In the mornings the residents had coffee socials, and had bingo games. Later they would have movie time and eat snacks. The resident rooms were well equiped with a television and a radio. The staff was always nice to incoming patients and family members. During my time at Villa Elena I was very pleased with the overall experience while I was there. I know if I were going to put a family member in a nursing home I would definately choose this home for my family member.
