Nice old guy
My wife has been a resident for one year. They take very good care of her. The only thing she doesn't like is bowling. She does the arts and crafts, and I take her outside once,or twice a week,. She loves bingo, because she won $100 one time, and expects to win every time , now.
She's always clean, she gets her hair brushed and gets a tint every month. I highly recommend Cedar Creek.
The staff is caring and know how to handle all situations. My wife likes the place.

I visited Cedar Creek but walked out quick. It looked like a house upfront, and they had a whole bunch of cottages. Their rooms were jam-packed and small. There weren't any activities, music or TV playing. They just had people sitting in their wheel chairs and their heads hanging down. I wouldn't recommend that place. Two shared rooms share a bathroom, and that's too confusing for my mom. The staff is friendly and seems to be good with their patients, though, and the residents are also friendly. They have a nice backyard space with a chicken coop and trees outside, but the whole property is fenced in, which I didn't care for because you can't see far out. When we went there they had live music and some dancing, they were trying to get the residents involved. They have a barbecue once a week for families to go and meet with their loved ones. They also said that the carpet and painting will be updated.

This place is amazing. All of the staff, from the maintenance guy to the director are friendly and kind to the people who live there. While I was there, I saw so much activity going on. You don't see a bunch of people sitting around a living room sleeping like most places. There was a guitarist there up and dancing with the clients and everyone looked happy and well cared for. The dining room is nice and clean and bright and they have a big, pretty back yard with chickens and doves! Couldn't think of a better place for my mom.

I really love Cedar Creek. The staff truly cares about the residents. Debbie, the administrator, does an amazing job of providing a safe comfortable place for seniors with memory difficulties. Theresa, the head nurse, is very careful about seeing that medications are given correctly and is always accessible for questions. Communication with staff is great. There is more outdoor space than any other care home I visited in Santa Clara county. I think residents are happier in Cedar Creek than in other memory care facilities because they have space to move around. It feels like they are in their own community. Staff encourages residents to come in to their offices to visit or to "work" if they feel they want to. It is not unusual to see a resident behind the counter seated next to the receptionist. Actually, it is not always easy to know who is a resident. Residents are treated with respect. Every caregiver I met was kind, effective and seemed to enjoy working at Cedar Creek. The food is very good and the fact that visitors get to eat for free is a nice perk. It was a blessing for my father to be able to live in Cedar Creek. He did so much better than when he was in Belmont Village.

Cedar Creek was a little older facility and it did need some updating. They were little by little updating their building though. It was, however, a very friendly place but it did not have the beauty or the size that I needed for my husband. It was medium size. They tried to have little chickens, birds, rabbits or what-have-you in their yard, but they need funds to improve themselves. I think they could be a wonderful facility if they have the funds to build it up. Regarding staff, I really like the person who was in charge of running Cedar Creek. The staff seemed very nice also. I did meet a few of them and I thought they have very nice staff. As a whole, if you're looking for a place and you don't have very much money to spend, I would recommend this place. However, if you have a little more money, then I would send them to another facility.

Everyone was really friendly and they had a nice area for people to gather in. It looked more like a house than a hospital which I'm sure made them more comfortable to live in. Its also well maintained and the exterior is pretty and welcoming. They had nice rooms with and could play checkers outdoors if they wished. Although my friend mentioned that one of the residents was slightly creepy, though it was most probably due to his age and decreasing mental capacity. Even when dealing with the elderly who have dementia the staff there remains calm and handles the situation well. They were also very patient when it was time to eat and helping those who needed it. Also the fact that personal items were allowed to be brought over seemed like huge plus, I'm sure items from home calm the residents and adds a personal touch to their rooms. Overall the staff is very kind and patient and everyone there seemed to really like it and the families who visited also seemed to really like the place.

The nursing staff here is excellent. Considering that my grandfather was in full dementia when we arrived (he bit the CNA trying to feed him!), they remained polite and professional. There was an atmosphere of calm and caring at all times when we visited. It was also wonderful that the staff spoke English to and around him so he wouldn't be more confused than he was with the new environment. We were allowed to bring in a physical therapist and visit when we wanted. The staff even encouraged us to bring in familiar things to help limit his confusion. It was a difficult experience for our family but the staff made everything as calm and comfortable for our family as possible. My only complaint is that parking was a little difficult. :)!

We're in the process of trying to get my mother (advanced Alzheimer's patient) into this facility. It's a beautiful place and the staff seems concerned, kind, patient and engaging.

Over the years, I have heard many rave reviews of this facility. Recently, one of my LTC insurance clients said,"We are really happy we found Cedar Creek, as they are wonderful with our father's condition, and he is getting the care he needs."
