I visited Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley. I liked the staff, I liked the decor, and I liked the program they had for the residents. I also liked the living accommodations. They were very nice and very manageable. I saw a TV room, a mini workout area, a common room, a mini library, and a beauty salon.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley. It's nice, clean, and friendly. The apartment we saw was a little bit boxy, but it was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly, very helpful, and accommodating to take us and show us around. They were going through a remodel. They had a lot of open areas. They had a kitchen where the guests could come down and use. It's like a common area if you wanted to cook something for yourself. The upkeep was nice. The grounds were very clean and well kept. They also have independent living where they have little homes that aren't in the main building. You can live there, but not be inside the main building. It's in the same area and you can have a car and all that stuff. It has a garage, but we didn't tour that because that's not where my father-in-law is at.

Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley was very nice. I recommend it highly. It is lavish, and I was amazed. It's like being in a five-star hotel and a resort. They have nice rooms, and they are willing to put the flooring you want before you move in either tile or carpeting. The grounds are very attractive with a walking path. There are lots of shopping and doctor's offices in the immediate area. It's in a nice neighborhood. The staff was very friendly, helpful, informative, and enthusiastic. The people I saw who lived there looked happy and healthy, which was encouraging to me. They had just remodeled the hallways and some of the recreation rooms, so everything looks nice, with new tile, new paint, and everything. I was impressed.

I moved into Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley. In our area, this was the one where residents tended to stay. They wrote good things about it, and their reviews were good. Every single question I had was answered. Every time I needed help, someone was there. The residents at the facility are welcoming, warm and friendly, and so is the staff. The food is not bad, but it's not great. They have card groups, exercise groups, and yoga groups. They have many activities. Before I moved in, they refurbished everything. I got a new stove and refrigerator. Everything was brand new, and they painted the outside. They are replacing the chandelier and redoing the walls. The outside looks beautiful. The upkeep has been very good because it's an older facility, and even though they are changing everything right now, you can tell that they have kept everything up constantly. What this one is costing me is a good value.

We visited Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley several times. My children were in Bluegrass Music Association for children. They play on instruments, and we went to that facility to play music for the people that lived there. We visited that several times. We got to meet the people that lived there, and we got to eat their food. That place is absolutely amazing.
My ex-husband was getting older, and I wanted to find him a nice place to live. We were able to see the community, and we talked to the administration. We got to see one that was also considered independent living. They had a doctor on staff, 24-7. We went and looked at one of the apartments because we were friendly with one of the residents. We went and visited with him in his little apartment. They were really, really nice. He had a little kitchenette that he could cook in himself, or he could go and eat the meals that they cooked. We were there often.
The staff was amazing. The doctor actually had to help one of the residents. There was an emergency when we were there one time, and the response to that situation is one I've never seen other than in a hospital. People were there immediately. They comforted the other people because it upset them when the gentleman had a heart attack. The doctor was there within minutes, and they called the ambulance. While we were waiting for the ambulance, the people cared for the resident as if he was in the hospital. They were calming down the other residents. The situation was very upsetting for everyone, but the staff handled that situation tremendously well. To me, that really stood out.

We went to Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley, and my mother likes it very much. Well, it's a beautiful place. It's got great curb appeal. They're in very good shape, clean, and the staff was great. They have a salon in there, so my mom could go get her hair and nails done, they have pool tables, recreation, bingo. They have the communal dining room, which my mother would like, she hasn't had any community in a while.
They take them on outings like apple picking, and sometimes they get an In and Out burger wagon over there. My mom likes the little small room. I want her to get the bigger one, but she likes the one she likes because of her eyesight problems. It has better lighting, so she likes the small, one-bedroom.
The staff was fantastic. I have no complaints whatsoever about that. They have great water pressure, their fixtures are all well kept. They keep it clean, my mother will get housekeeping once a week included with the rent, but she could still have somebody come and do some work in a week during the week. They have caregivers there to do that.

I'm going to choose Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley because I thought it was a pretty nice place with nice people. The environment is like a 5-star hotel. It's very clean and very well kept up. The staff team personnel seem polite, kind, and sensitive to a person's needs. They have a game room. They have a chapel, which is very important to me. They also have a TV room and exercise room.

I have moved in with my husband to Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley. We're in independent living. It's all new to me, but it's been very, very nice. They're very helpful and very considerate. The place is nice and clean too so I have no complaints. Everyone has been very cordial, very polite, and very friendly.
It's a very old building and there's a lot of maintenance that has to be done from time to time but that's kind of to be expected. Ants showed up on my door and when I let them know about it downstairs, they were very, very nice about it. They took care of it probably within a week. There's also a generator, or something else, that runs all night. It keeps me up and wakes me up during the night and I can't get back to sleep. The staff tends to walk the halls laughing and giggling and be loud at night. That's kind of not wonderful. I went to the door one night and I mentioned it to one of the gals and she said, "Oh, I am so sorry" so they're very nice about it.
The food is good but I just have my little quirks. Like I'd like to have different things for drinking sometimes like gin lemonade and coffee. That's my deal and I know not everybody is inclined that way but I'm just able-bodied enough and I'm used to my own kitchen and getting what I want to drink.
The activities are good, they keep you busy. I think it's a good value for money too.

Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley was a nice place. It was a good experience. We looked at the cottages, which we prefer over living in the big building. We talked to some of the people and they were very pleasant. We were pleased with the place, and that was encouraging. The staff took us around to different rooms and different areas of the facility. They have cottages, and like bachelor apartments, and two bedrooms. The facility is kind of like a regular motel/hotel kind of thing.

Solstice is a very beautiful place. It's a big, 2-story community. They have a lot of people that work there and they are all very, very knowledgeable of what they're doing. I know a lot of them already because my auntie's been living there for about seven years now, and they've been wonderful. Their dining room is huge and it's got a whole bunch of tables, but they're not using it now because of the Corona. Everybody's food is served in their rooms.
The residents can't be together, so if they have exercises, they have a chair every 6 feet in the hallway because the hallways are very big. They have a nice, long walkway all around the building and benches for them to sit down and rest. She loves it, and the people are very good to her. They know her by name, and they all know who she is. They know that she's one of the people who lives there who loves to walk. She walks on a walker and starts on the bottom first, then she gets on the elevator, goes upstairs, all through the hallway up there, comes back down, and comes back to her room.
They've got all kinds of amenities. They have exercises while sitting on the chair, lot of crafts, they watch movies, and they bring people in for music or concerts. For the holidays, the rest of the family can go visit them and have dinner or lunch or whatever they're serving. It's very nice. I stayed with her the whole month when she broke her hip, too. I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there, and the food was very good.

I had a very nice tour of Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley. It's a very large community. It's a two-story community, but it didn't fit my mother because you have to pay extra for care. The room was very nice, we could afford that, it was huge too, completely refurbished when someone moves out, but there's no actual caregivers there. They have a company that comes in, and for what I could afford, they will only do three well visits a day, and my mother would be alone most of the time. That's not what I'm looking for; it's more for ambulatory people. The staff member is excellent, she's even helping trying to find a private home. She was very helpful. It's a wonderful community, I did not see a lot of activity there. Probably because of COVID their dining room was completely closed, and everybody was eating in their rooms. They weren't allowing anybody to go to the dining room. It's a beautiful community, and if you're ambulatory and don't need a lot of care, it's wonderful, and the fees are manageable.

Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley is a good facility and a great value. The staff is outstanding and extremely accommodating. My mom had an efficiency apartment. The place is clean. My mom played poker, bingo, and Bunco.

We've been living in Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley. We saw it being built ten or 11 years ago, and we really liked it. This place has apartments that are big enough for me. However, since Solstice has taken over about a year ago, things are going downhill. I wasn't very happy and neither was anyone else that I knew, so a lot of people moved out. The staff is always changing. We get new staff and they start to learn, then they're let go and they hire new staff. It's been that way since Solstice took over. The amenities are pretty good.

We very much liked the independent living rooms at Solstice Senior Living at Apple Valley. They were very spacious with lots of closet space, and the carpets were beautiful. Angeli, was very nice, and we really appreciated her. The dining area was more like a cafeteria, but the residents looked very happy, and they were all very social. It had a very happy and very upbeat atmosphere, and it looked very clean.

It was a beautiful community with wholesome, family-oriented environment. The food was absolutely wonderful. It was formal dining. Their rooms were independent and catered to the residents' respective needs. The staff was wonderful.

It was very nice but too far from the grandkids. They took care of everything, from housekeeping to activities to meals. They had a card room, miniature golf in the halls, movie nights, and lectures. They had a guitar player when I went there. They had a separate, full kitchen downstairs, so if you wanted to make a meal, you could do it yourself there. The rooms and apartments were very nice. The staff serving during the meals was very nice.

We had a very nice visit. We had lunch, and it was very good. They had games, crafts, music, outings, and barbecues.

I liked it. Some of the activities surprised us, like tabletop shuffle board, that my mother seemed to enjoy. They also had card games, outings twice a week, and movies. They had three or four different apartments. There were people on-site that you could hire to do different things for you, like laundry. The staff was flexible, very personable, and knew all of their residents. The residents were all smiling and happy. Out of the facilities we've seen, this would be where my mom would go.

The staff is very pleasant and very helpful. I would love to live there myself. They have three meals a day and the food is absolutely terrific. They have a lot of activities for seniors, like exercise groups that meet regularly, billiards, and arts and crafts. They have excursions and go out to have golfing and putting contests. The rooms and the entire facility are very clean.

I did have lunch here, and it was very good. It was a very nice facility. It is actually beautiful because it is new. They have fresher home-made breads that they would have everyday and things that kind of appeal to older people many times because they feel like they are being catered to, so that was really nice. The room also was very nice.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They made us feel at home. They showed us the room, and it was very clean. They offered us lunch, and the food was good. They gave me a brochure with activities that are planned for the seniors, and that was nice. If I had to live in a place, this would be one of my top contenders.

Early September I did find a place and moved in, and it is here. It’s a new facility, and it has very upbeat managers. It’s a healthy morale building kind of situation. They offer activities every hour; one of them is an exercise program for elderly. They have a wonderful library; the facility is wonderfully kept, and that is the key feature when I came to see it. The food is top notch; we have a chef and professionally prepared soup -- better than I have living alone. There is one big dining room that fit more of a dormitory dining facility. We have a lot of selections for the food; they are main trays, alternate trays, and then several individual things to choose from if you so desire.
It’s located in a very upscale residential area. I have miles of miles of sidewalk to walk my dog on. It’s clean and modern. I have been here since early September, and maybe 10 years from now I may see something differently, but right now I am happy. I would recommend the facility, and they have a variety of offerings; you could have one bedroom unit, two bedroom two bath unit, and they have also have cottages. It is very homey.

I visited this facility. It is beautiful. and. clean. It has many important amenities. The drawback is that I perceived budget. Sometimes overruled independence.
