Diamond Terrace was my mom's favorite because the location is in a beautiful setting in downtown Clayton, and she really liked that. The lady that we met with was very kind, very helpful, and very accommodating, but they were short staffed. She showed us one of the model apartments and it was smaller than I would like for me or Mom, but she seemed to be happy with it. The dining area was a little smaller, but they have a three-star chef that works there, so the food is excellent. We've talked to a few people and they said it's just wonderful. They were playing bingo, they had a lot of family visitors, and they had cookies, drinks, and coffee out for everyone in the lobby, which was very cozy. There was a fireplace going and it was beautiful. A lot of walking was going on. They have an exercise room. It was a great place.

Diamond Terrace is a very nice community, but it was a little expensive for me. It's clean, seemed friendly, and is in a nice area. It looked like a very nice community, but it was just more than what I could afford.

Diamond Terrace is an independent living community at the foot of Mt Diablo. It perches above the Mayberryish town of Clayton with a sweeping panoramic view of the hills and countryside. A truly lovely setting with broad level walkways that encompass the property making walking outside a real pleasure. A beautiful setting indeed.
My Mom lived at Diamond terrace for 12 years and just recently passed away. She could not have been happier. She made many long term friends and really enjoyed the on site hair salon and Donna the remarkable stylist that made everyone beautiful. As others have commented, the rest of the staff is remarkably friendly. Ellen the administrator along with Gwin and Ariel and many others go out of their way to make living at Diamond Terrace feel like living at home. Great people. Other reviews here have described the facility accurately. A few other really nice benefits include a full service CVS pharmacy right next door and several restaurants within easy walking distance. All in all I cannot think of a more pleasant place to live.

We went to visit Diamond Terrace, and it looked very nice. It's very clean. It was like an apartment complex more than an elderly place. It had beautiful views and trees. The people there could have their own kind of apartment and access to laundry as well as access to things if they needed extra help. Everybody seemed very nice. The residents walking around seemed to be happy living there. It's just a wonderful environment. They have a lot of different activities going on all the time. We saw people coming for something. It might have been group art thing. It seemed really nice.

We moved my husbands mother to Diamond Terrace after two years at another place and we are very happy we did. Diamond Terrace is a beautiful place, nestled above the quiet town center of Clayton. The monthly price is much more affordable. The one room bedroom apartment is perfect for her, and much larger than the higher priced, hotel-like room she was in. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and really care about the seniors in their care. They have a large open seating area with coffee, tea and cookies for the residents to gather and socialize. The dinning area has a small menu for the residents to chose from, which gives the feel of a restaraunt. My mother in-law calls it "Going to the Club to eat". The grounds are beautiful with nice walking path and seating area's with unobstructed views of Mt. Diablo. CVS Pharmacy is right next door, making it easy to quickly drop in for essentials. There are restaraunts within walking distance and a community park. The small town feel is friendly and welcoming. The residents were recently guests of honor at the 4th of July parade, being brought down in golf carts, and viewed the parade under shade tents with raised seating. Truly a family oriented environment for your senior loved one.

Diamond Terrace is a resonably well kept Independent living community. Clean Interior and exterior with a welcoming entry and large communal living room where the residents gather during anytime of day or evening. Calm and relaxing atmosphere and always nearby manager and assistants, whom are extremely friendly and helpful. There is a monthly calender of daily planned activities at the residence or a minibus for group transportation. Nice, small town near the residence. I, personally thought the apartments well kept and maintained. Washers and dryers available and of course a dining area providing a daily menu plus a la carte. My family loves Diamond Terraces staff. I believe I will move here when I retire as well!

We went over at Diamond Terrace and my mother really liked it. She liked the people. They were nice and were really hospitable. She had a good feel for the place. The apartments were very cute. They had really nice large kitchens which my mom likes. It had microwave and a stove top and kind of an apartment-sized refrigerator. It was very livable. They had two-bedroom and one-bedroom and it seemed like it was a really nice community. My mother, brothers and I had lunch there. The food was good and we had shrimp. It is a lot cheaper over there than it is here in the Bay area. The lady named Gwen was so nice. She made my mom feel very welcome.

I found a nice place called Diamond Terrace. I moved in about three weeks ago and this place is pretty awesome and clean. The people are very friendly. The location of the facility is close to some nice restaurants. It's a small town community, but very nice.

I had the wonderful opportunity to contribute to a Valentine Tea Party provided by our women's group to the residents of Diamond Terrace. It was a wonderful joy to work with the staff in setting up the facilities and a thrill to visit and take tea with so many amazing people.
The facility is beautifully appointed, the residents seemed extremely happy with the assistance and daily activities provided by the staff.
We had a delightful time and owe it to the support of team Diamond Terrace team.
