We are restricted from seeing our grandma during the pandemic and we miss her very much. The executive director is sending out multiple weekly updates to us family members and is sending us pictures of all the extra fun activities they are doing to keep the people occupied. We even Skyped with grandma! They are doing a great job during the crisis. Thank you for making us feel that grandma is safe during a difficult time.

I came with my boyfriend to visit his grandfather who lives at Pacifica. I expected to see an old facility where the people sat around in wheelchairs. I was excited to see them sitting in a circle and laughing together as they took turns bowling. I didn't expect to see so much life and energy. What a pleasant surprise! Good job, Pacifica!

I entrusted Pacifica Newport Mesa with the care of both of my parents from July 2016 until August 2018. My dad had Alzheimers disease and my mother had Congestive Heart failure and Dementia.. I can't say enough about the wonderful compassionate care they received from their caretakers there! They were truly a godsend to me in a time of great need. They are truly special people!

We went to Pacifica. It smelled when we walked in, and it's right on the freeway. My wife can't sleep with traffic noise, so it wasn't going to work out for her. However, the staff seemed nice, as well as the person who toured us. I observed a group playing a game. The rooms were small and didn't have TVs, but the dining area was fine.

The apartment that I saw at Pacifica was a one bedroom apartment and it was nice. The place was beautiful and clean. Everyone was nice and the staff were accommodating.. I saw that they have some games.

I wasn’t impressed with Pacifica at first. It was more of an individual long-term care place, and I was looking to move both of my parents, so it didn’t satisfy that need. Other than that, it was a nice facility. It’s a small environment but nice. The rooms are of a good size, and the dining area was small but nice. The neighborhood was quiet.

Pacifica is a small and a secure lock-down facility, but it doesn’t feel like one. The grounds are locked and not the individual rooms, so it has a homey atmosphere. They have nice grounds where they can wander by themselves or take an escort if they need one. The neighborhood is quiet, and the facility is backed up into a residential area. The residents live in cottages, with 7-10 rooms in each. You can have an individual room or two people in a room, but the bathrooms are shared, which is good for people with memory problems. They are very well staffed, have a day nurse on duty from Monday to Friday, and have doctors who come and visit, including a podiatrist who comes periodically. They also have hospice, so, hopefully, we may never have to move her again. My mom is getting moderate care. They do all of her grooming and manage all her medications. You can use their pharmacy or your own. They have hairdressers who comes once a week. They serve meals in the dining room, and the people in the same cottage sit together, so it’s more like a family. They have a lot of activities to keep the residents busy, like bingo, painting, different arts and crafts, and bowling. They have really worked well with us.
