I did a tour of North Lake Villas. The staff, Robert, was very friendly, and I could tell that they cared about the residents. It was very well-kept and also very clean. It's very low-key, but I could tell that most of the focus is placed on the security of residents. They provided us food for my dad, for the lunch, just to try it out. It was delicious and very homey.

My mother has been living at North Lake Villas for 3 1/2 years. It is a great place. The staff are wonderful with the residents. The food is good. They get everyone up and going each day. There are daily activities. It's in a great location with a lovely outdoor space. It is comfortable and cozy. I can't recommend this facility highly enough.

North Lake Villas was my second choice for my dad. It was more like an assisted type of place rather than a home care kind of atmosphere, but I was very impressed with the staff and the activities. I like that it was very, very close to me. They had a lot of group activities. They also had music going. When I went in there, everyone seemed happy and they had a lot of staff. The rooms were very nice and large. The rooms were differently decorated for the males and females.

I was highly impressed with North Lake Villas in Altadena. The facility itself was very nice - but the location of the facility was the best selling point for me. Not many facilities are in this area, and it is within minutes of the LA National Forest, which makes for a very nice retirement home setting.
My client was in a private room, but I also got to take a look at one of the shared rooms, which looked nothing like a nursing home room whatsoever. They also had a very nice entertainment center here for clients to browse and use anything that they wanted to use for entertainment.
I would highly recommend this facility to anyone in the Northeast LA area.
