My mom was put in Brighton two years ago. She was in the nursing care, and she was there for rehab, which is another one that is awful. The place was really old. They also had a lot of what she called medical people that live there permanently that are either handicapped mentally or physically. It was a whole different wing from the nursing facility; that area had three to a room, and they live there permanently. They would hang outside in the parking lot, smoking cigarettes, weed, and drinking. I couldn't believe my eyes. A lot of them are younger because they're medical people whose families don't want them. I did see a lot of people there. It was all pre-Covid. I just give them a low rating with everything. The rooms were old, and it was an old building. I didn't see a garden for the people. The rehab was probably the best part. I would say the staff was pretty good. They were kind and very nice to my mom. They have a very nice staff. All I saw was the dining room; that's all I could see. I didn't see much going on in there. I saw a lot of people sitting in there. It was people that either were permanent residents or the people that were in nursing care. The beds look like they were taken from an old hospital that was closed down, and they bought old used beds. They told my daughter not to sit on the beds because there's a lot of infectious diseases. I'm like, "Well, don't they clean in between patients?" I thought that was really weird.
