I truly liked this care facility. The staff there was very professional and took great care of my great grandmother, but they also gave her time and space to herself. While we were there, she needed some assistance (I can't remember exactly what she needed them to help her with, but it was non-urgent.) She made a quick call and about 5 minutes later, the staff had responded, even though they knew it was a non emergency issue. The facilities are very nice, if slightly outdated when we were there. San Francisco in general has a slightly outdated feel to a lot of the buildings, so this is nothing out of the ordinary for the area, but it just struck me a little bit. The facility is also located near transportation and plenty of shops and stores to get everything that one needs nearby. My great grandmother had a modest one bedroom, but it had a nice cozy feel, and she was quite happy there.

The San Francisco Towers assisted living facility was recommended by a friend in the region as an option for our aunt. The outside area resembled that of a high-end, well maintained condo building. The interior design was lovely with gorgeous views throughout. There was bright light everywhere. Because the weather is so mild there, the residents may enjoy walks along the beach and spend time outdoors on a near year round basis. From sight seeing to nature walks and cultural events, San Francisco has it all. The staff appeared to accommodate all levels of ambulation. The staff often takes residents on many outings into San Francisco's vibrant community to enjoy all that it has to offer. The residents enjoy yoga and aerobics classes, sometimes held outdoors. Seniors are encouraged to enjoy physical activity as much as possible. The dining areas offered the kind of spectacular food that you would find in a five star restaurant. The elegant Sunday brunch looked like a fantastic option. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus included food options for all kinds of diets. Residents may eat in the dining room or cook for themselves. Private units featured beautifully decorated surroundings, many with stunning views of the gorgeous skyline. All had a great deal of natural light and fresh air, through very large windows - many of which had individual terraces and balconies. Each unit had either a full kitchen or kitchenette. The residents may enjoy all that San Francisco has to offer, from opera, museums and theater to fine dining. The seniors appeared content here, with just the amount of care and attention they needed.
