I am presently at Lakeside Park. I have recommended the place to a number of people because I have looked at other places, and they don’t come up to Lakeside Park’s standard. They care for elderly people, and some of them have been here for many years. Some had their family here, they have liked it, and they’ve gotten to know it better than I. They keep it clean; I would say the atmosphere is homey. I’m a very fussy eater, and I prefer something a little better, but they try and accommodate; they have a good chef. They had a field trip today, and they have games they play that elders can do. They try and entertain, and I think the gal in charge of entertainment has gotten the national award.

AgeSong is an incredible eldercare community. Elders with dementia are treated with love and compassion and above all, respect. The elders come from all different backgrounds, sexual orientations, socioeconomic statuses, and so on. The motto of the place is "Freedom to Be". That says it all, to me. The staff is warm and friendly, and truly loves what they do. I have never seen the caregivers, medical staff, or mental health interns treat the residents with anything but loving care, even in the face of challenging behaviors. I've been to other care facilities, which seem so cold and depressing. The staff at the other facilities I've visited don't seem to enjoy their work, and it makes it sad. AgeSong does so much to give their residents a wonderful quality of life-outings, beautifully decorated common spaces, apartments furnished with personal belongings of the residents, mental health interns who do individual and art therapy, live music - it's just so nice to see our elders taken care of so well. I highly recommend an AgeSong community if you're looking to place your elder with dementia in the Bay Area.

Our family was very fortunate to finally found a place were we felt peace and assurance for ourselves and for our loved one's safety. We are all very thankful and proud that we are all now part of AgeSong family.
