I would never ever put anyone in this facility. My family member was treated very poorly and I filed a complaint against them. My family member was injured here and it was not properly communicated to me. The staff treated my family member terribly and so was I. When I was trying to get information as to what happened I was spoken to terribly by the social worker. I tried to contact the director with no luck. I was disgusted with how my family member was treated and glad they are no longer there.

Communication is awful. None from care center to family unless you fight to talk to someone. Hygiene issues-parent in over two weeks and no shower given yet. Not really respectful to residents ,scold them and talk down to them . Not given credit for having a mind of their own or an opinion. No one calls back when you leave a message. Hard to find good places but avoid this one . PT is excellent.

Communication is a joke! No one wants to talk to family. Can not reach anyone by phone. You leave a message and no one returns your call.

My mother has been a resident for 7 years now, I would like to say that the business office (Myrna B.) has been amazing to work with. Myrna has automatically knows how to take care of my mother in personal needs. She is aware that for years she gets her hair done ono a certain day and even if I forget to put in my request for my mother to get it done, Myrna automatically get it taken care of for me. She has been so pleasant with me and my family. It is people like Myrna that makes the facility a wonderful place and safe place to have you beloved mother be a resident. Thank you Myrna.

The physical therapy is very good but that's where any positive experience ends. Patient care is poor, at best, and medical attention is woefully inadequate. The facility is highly understaffed, so don't come here unless you are heathy beyond PT needs. Rooms are spartan and shabby. There are activities like bingo and movies, whoopee. Food is tolerable but heavy on starch.
This place has seen better days. Beware.

Our Mom has been a guest at Mountain View Care Center as long term patient for over 5 months and the care she receives is professional and done with love. All the Nurses, CNA's OT/PT , cleaning folks show kindness to our Mom and are attentive to her needs, anticipating her health needs and providing good care. They identified a UTI by her behavior thus preventing an adverse outcome. She is happy, clean and well cared for. Oh, and the likes the food!
So why not a 5? I called twice to speak directly with her physician amd he nor his NP returned my calls, So now I speak to the more that comipdant nurses and they get Mom's medical needs met and addressed. A special Thank you to Amie and Brenda'; Two of Mountain Views Angel Nurses.
Pictures of this lovely facility on their website are accurate. Looks and feels like your home, very clean and inviting.

I am the daughter of a past resident. My mother has spent approx. 6 months, off and on, at Mountain View. In that time she has been from acute care, MRSA care, post surgical, dementia care to going home. She loved Mountain View. The last time she had surgery she made me call two weeks before the surgery to have them save a bed for her! Really!, who does that?
The rooms are fairly plain and rather typical of nursing home rooms, but there is room for one to decorate and make it your own.
The staff is what makes this facility so wonderful. The nurses, Dr.s, cleaning staff, kitchen staff, laundry staff etc. They all care. Really care. The last time my mother was there, when she arrived nurses and other staff heard she was there and ran to give hugs and welcome her. New staff were dragged in too, to introduce them to her. All this was done not by us but by the staff that knew her. Staff that remembered her from 2 years ago.
My mother was never really able to enjoy the activities that were available as she was bed ridden most of the time. How ever the PT/ OT group kept her stamina up and made sure she was ready to go home when she was supposed to.
My mother has since passed away but I will always be thankful to the staff at Mountain View for making her part of the family.

My mother had hip surgery and the hospital transferred her to Moutain view. The staff and aides there were exceptionally warm and respectful and answered all my questions. My mom has now made a dramatic recovery and is doing really well.

This facility far exceeded my expectations. The staff is pleasant and well educated. They are very attentive and the facility is surprisingly clean. I received great care here and would definitely recommend it.

I am extremely disappointed to be ewriting this review. Im the guy that calls the bosses and public with my appreciation and credit for a job well done. Today I have to be that guy who don't leave the waitress a tip and calls management with my legitament displeasure. My wife arrived at Mountainview Friday evening from exellent care at UMC Banner Hospital. I came to visit her at my first opportunity Saturday evening. She said she had to use the bathroom and had allready had an accident. She had signaled for help and did not want me to reach out. Twenty-five minutes I had enough waiting and got her some help. When I left several hours later (end of visiting hours). My plans were to spend the day with my wife at the facility. I was awaken to a phone call from her crying and distraught. "Please take me home. There hurting me. Call my sister....." Its a weekend and I am planning on meeting with her doctor Monday AM for other arrangements. Meanwhile my visit is delayed in order to make my home more ready and submit my complaints. I'll be with her for the remainder of visiting or later if allowed. This review is for your info. Do with it what you want. I am hopeful there wont be any more unacceptable care or retreibution as my wife will be there at least until mid Monday morn. It is now around noon on Sunday November 6, 2016.

Do not put your loved one in this facility for any prolonged length of time. There is no consistent communication among the staff, and conflicting orders seem to be the rule. Medical orders are either not conveyed, ignored, or misinterpreted. No one listens to anyone, and the staff does not check to make sure things are correct. Food is terrible and equipment is lacking.

My relative is at Mountain View Care Center. It is very nice. They have excellent staff. They’re very responsive. The nursing home is very nice. He has been there for a month now. When you walk in, they have cucumber water, and coffee for the guests. They have nice eating area. They have a nice TV room, and then they have a kitchen with tables that people can go to watch TV. They have a little ice-cream shop. The physical therapists are really good. We are happy with the people there that are giving him therapy.

I am a close friend of a former patient. If you care about your relative/loved one. DO NOT PUT THEM IN THIS HOLE. The housekeeping is terrible, the food is awful and the care is minimal. The Dr. who runs the place doesn't even know how to treat diabetes properly. My friend's blood sugar (which had been under control prior to admittance) ran between 300-600 the whole time she was a patient (almost two and one half months). She has been home since Friday Oct 30, Tuesday morning her blood sugar was 98. She has been receiving the proper amount of insulin at the proper times and it is stabilizing. She had three UTI's and three C-dif infections while in there. She became so depressed she now has PTSD. She is on the road to recovery. I think another few days in there and we would be making funeral arrangements. I had to give a rating to allow this to be posted but I would not even rate them with one star.

That's where they sent me after I had my knee surgery for my preliminary care. I wasn't there that long. The staff was very nice. You could not have asked for nicer people. The rooms were clean, nice, and well cared for. The food was fine. They brought the food to me because at that point I was more invalid than not. It was safe and secure. There's nothing wrong with it. Mountain View was just a very nice place to stay.

My great aunt had rehab at Mountain View, and everybody there was very courteous, sweet, professional, and answered all our questions. The rooms were very clean, and I was very pleased with everything that was provided for her. She ate most of her meals in her room, but the food was very good. If she didn’t like it, they will get her something else. They had separate wings, and they had a dining room for the separate wings.
She had physical therapy and bingo. Security and safety was fantastic. You had to buzz yourself in and out -- very great security. Nobody could leave unless they had a code to get out. It was great.

My mother was at Mt View for therapy after hospital visit. Aides were very helpful but very understaffed. Very long response time if call button was pressed. Mom is on low sodium diet due to severe health problems. We were told on admission that a dietician helped in coordination with meals meeting specific health needs. In a 2 wk span twice for dinner she was given large helpings of ham salad and a roll, and another time for lunch was given a bologna sandwich...both terribly high in sodium. Mom had low potassium and magnesium and care center Dr had kept a watch on this with lab draws. Mom was not given any foods rich in potassium or magnesium to help control this. No fresh fruits or fresh vegetables while she was there. Care center Dr stated he was very worried about her potassium/magnesium. Apparently meals are not geared to patients health needs and was very low quality. We took Mom out of their care after 2 1/2 weeks.

Mountainview is typical. A lot of old people sitting around sleeping. I'm just not impressed with it. They always have those old room air-conditioners, I hate those things. What I like about this facility is it's closer to where I live.
