This facility is two large homes that is on 10 acres about a quarter mile from paved road. One home has 7 and other 10 residents. The homes are very nice. The landscaping is desert scenery. They have birds, squirrels, rabbits, and small animals right outside their door. It is a very quiet setting but they are still close to central Tucson.
All bedrooms are private but bathrooms are shared. The interior is nicely decorated and the home with 10 residents is sunny and open with 3 sliding doors and large windows. It is very clean.
The backyard and area have several walking paths, a large patio, and bbq.
They have a living room, dining room, and Arizona room.
They have home cooking with 3 meals and snacks. Breakfast is on demand and they have a great rotating menu for lunch and dinner. They have a lot of fruit and fresh vegetables. The food is very good.
They have a house doctor who comes in and on call. They can arrange transport to appointments. All caregivers are certified. The staff seems caring and it is a family atmosphere.
Activities vary with the residents level of activity. A lot are one on one They do play games like bingo and have movies. They do encourage residents to their full potential. They celebrate birthdays, have parties and bbqs. They encourage family involvement. They can arrange outings for more active residents.
This seems a very relaxing nice atmosphere in a nice homey setting with a caring staff.
