At Powell Place, our residents receive compassionate care in a warm, invigorating senior living community. Powell Place was very clean and smelled fresh. Everybody was friendly. The rooms were all updated. Everything and everyone were super nice. The staff answered all my questions and gave me paperwork to take back. She was very knowledgeable. Everybody looked like they were enjoying their lunch when I was there. They were watching the Olympics in the main room and enjoying that. The people were just walking around or were in their wheelchairs.

The only problem i have is the food. They serve cheap, high carn, high salt foods like lasagna, cheap high salt hot dogs (3 times in one week). I would think they would realize elderlt people should not have nitrates and salt. They need a nutritionists to create simple menus .. meat/poultry, rice/potatoes and fresh vegetables and fresh fruit. They do have great desserts.

The level of compassion and knowledge the employees have here is amazing! After a lot of searching and research the choice was easy. Not only are my siblings and I completely satisfied, but most importantly my Mother felt right at home her first day.
