La Siena was very nice. We got to tour the whole place and it was beautiful. It was like walking into a resort. There were lots of activities and the facilities were outstanding. If I could move into a community, I would move there. The apartments were just beautiful. The staff were very friendly, very accommodating, answered all of our questions, and were just very outstanding. They have swimming pools, exercise rooms, craft rooms, a movie theater, a salon, and everything you would want and more.

We visited the assisted living side of La Siena. We are choosing it for the location and that they have apartments available for my relatives. It looked excellent. We haven't moved my relatives yet, so we'll see what it's like after we get in. Right now, everything looks great. They have all of the activities like physical therapy, a fitness center, a hair salon, and doctors who come to the facility. All of that was part of our decision in choosing this place. We had lunch there and everything was good. They had a gym, a pool, and a nice courtyard area to sit in. I don't think the relatives I'm moving in with would take advantage of that though because they're 95 and 97 so they're pretty much going to stick in their room but there's plenty of these things if they wanted to participate. The staff who assisted us on the tour was very nice and very helpful.

My dad was at La Siena for only three months. It's a good and well-rounded facility. I didn't live there, but my dad did, and based on what I saw from picking him up and visiting him, they were very strict when it comes to COVID-19 guidelines for obvious reasons. According to my dad, the staff there was okay. My dad had a caretaker with him for fifteen years and it was kind of hard to replace her. Obviously there was a bit of a change going from her to people he doesn't know. His room was nice and large. The dining area was clean, and my dad said the food was okay. It's his first time living in a public facility, so for him to get used to the food is a little different because he's never had it, but it was fine. The facility was fine, too. It's just that under the circumstances of COVID-19, it makes facilities a lot less enjoyable because of all these guidelines that everybody has to follow. Everyone is always walking on eggshells, having to do extra just to go outside and enjoy themselves, wearing masks, signing in, taking temperatures, and all that. La Siena did the best that they could while at the same time trying to keep people safe and healthy, and my dad just really didn't do a whole lot during his stay there. If none of this happened, he could have enjoyed the facility a lot more.

My mother-in-law came up with La Siena. We really liked it, and we decided to go with it. We thought the people at this place were super friendly, and I mean the residents. It just made us feel like it was a community and it would be a fun place to live. This place felt like a friendly place to live. I recommended it to my girlfriend, and her mother is moving in also. My mother-in-law picked La Siena.

We chose La Siena for my mom because we like the place. The staff was very nice and friendly, and the residents looked happy and friendly. Her room is very nice and includes a full kitchen, not just a microware in her room. Their dining room is outstanding. We tried the food, and it was very good. The whole place is really outstanding.

I have found what I was looking for in La Siena. We felt like it would be the best for me if I decided to move to Phoenix. They were very helpful in every question I asked. I like the way they offered their meals. Their apartments were lovely. I love where they’re located. I think they’re pretty full, too; I’m on a waiting list. All the staff that I met and particularly the marketing person have been very nice.

I stayed at La Siena Senior Living for six days and I had to leave. I couldn't stay longer, the food was making me sick. I was promised that they will be able to provide the right diet for me. I am a disabled patient and my husband passed on two and a half years ago. I have a medical condition called acid oxidation genetic defect that I must be on a very, very low fat diet. When I first came in there with somebody from a placement company, we sat down with the manager and chef and we explained my diet. They made promises that they did not keep. They had decorators decorate the entrance and the hallway. But when you get into the apartments, their cupboards are way up high to the ceiling along with the microwave. The little ladies with osteoporosis, with their bent backs, are not able to reach all these. And when you need to get somebody to hand down whatever you need from your kitchen, you need to call somebody and pay $10.00 to hand down whatever you need because they don't want you climbing on ladders. They have very poor arrangement for people who are seniors with health problems. They're charging an enormous amount of money. I got the impression that the residents are in serious financial trouble, the place is not full and they have very, very young students wait on the table at dinner time. They have no idea on how to wait on tables and I don't think they're being paid much of anything. They certainly weren't professional table servers. When dishes needed to be cleared off the table, they will just walk away, past the table and not pick up anything. And when the main course is about to be served, for example, they'll completely forget and I'll have to bring it to their attention that they've forgotten to save the main course. I have a medical problem and I was hoping this arrangement would allow me to have the assistance that I do need. It's just terrible.

The La Seina had various floor plans from the studios to two-bedrooms, a bistro bar where you could go and get a cup of coffee, a nice dining facility, and all the amenities for assisted living, which I'm qualified for. The staff was outstanding.
