I brought my dad to tour the community and scheduled to have lunch. When we walked in the office door was closed and clearly the manager couple saw us and yet ignored us for about 10 minutes. We sat and waited on a sofa outside the office. When we stood up to leave, the couple finally came out. They told us the lady that does tours was out, but they "guess" they could show us around after they serve the lunch. So we were taken to a table to eat. The wait staff was friendly, but the food was some of the worst I've ever tasted. Some sort of fish and cold vegetables. The salad hadn't even been chopped, just a 1/4 of a lettuce, with the core even. Dad could not eat that. Cookies that felt like lead and tasted about the same. The manager couple seemed annoyed and irritated to take us on the tour. The rooms are small, the rates are high and not impressed by the management. They didn't want to tell us prices initially, and I see why. Too expensive for poor quality food, outdated facility, no transportation for my dad who's an amputee in a wheelchair. We found a great place for him not far from here.

My mom is at Estrella Estates Gracious Retirement Living. It's great. It's a good fit for her. The staff is excellent. Her room is a one-bedroom. It's wonderful; it's great. It has everything that she needs. The dining area is nice. Everyone is friendly, very helpful, and very efficient. They get the meals out quickly. They have exercise classes, they go on outings on Wednesdays, they have entertainment, and they offer card games, board games, and puzzles. Pretty much anything a resident would want to do, they do offer. My mom has been there for a little over a year now. She enjoys the activities. She doesn't participate in a lot of them, but the ones she does participate in, she enjoys.

I will be moving into Estrella Estates. They have a lot of activities, card games, bingo, and church service. The bus takes you to events. I just got a studio and it is not that big. Mainly I'll be leaving the room to eat my meals (three days a week and snacks) and go to activities. The staff was very nice and very informative. The food was good.

I came in and happened to see the staff dressing down someone who was trying to help one of the residents move. The gentleman didn’t realize the door was automatic and tried to push it open. The staff overreacted and embarrassed the gentleman who was already embarrassed for not realizing the door was automatic. That level of unprofessionalism is disgusting and my concern is how the residents are treated. Be careful before choosing this facility. My mother will not be staying there.

This place is incredible and what makes it even better is Josh B. He made my mother feel so comfortable and loved when we came in to tour that we didn't bother looking at any other communities. Great food, great staff, great residents. We couldn't be happier with our decision.

My mom moved into Estrella Estates and she seems to like it. She gets some social interaction and the food is good. They have activities going on within the facility, and once a week they have field trips or excursions for entertainment purposes. They also provide transportation for shopping and doctor's appointments. They have a movie theater, library, computer room, pool table, a little exercise area, and a swimming pool. The place looks well-kept, clean, and in very good shape.

We've visited Estrella Estates. Their amenities include a beauty salon, a workout area, a chapel, and a theater as well. They have lots of activities for the residents to do.

We liked Estrella Estates a lot, and he did not want to leave there, but it was further away from my house which I am staying in, and whilst they did have increase level of ability to increase care level, it really wasn’t set up for that. It did not have on site nursing 24/7. He loved the place and his room, and he thought the food was excellent. The staff and administrator were wonderful. It was near my daughter’s house so they could visit him more regularly. He just really likes the people.
They have ongoing care which was why we moved him earlier this year. It was listed as independent; that’s why we were originally were looking to possibly changed him to some place that had memory care. However, they do have a memory care facility right across the street from them that I had checked on, and it was agreed that he really isn’t ready for memory care.

The managers of Estrella Estates are very nice and very helpful; are out and about with the residents, talking with them and calling them by their names; and help serve the meals. There is a variety of apartments, anywhere from studio to two-bedroom. The food is very good and is served restaurant-style. They have a mini bus that will take people to appointments and on outings every week. My mom doesn’t really join in those, but they have activities in the mornings and evenings. They bring in special musicians sometimes, have bingo game days, card games, and other kinds of activities going on.

I live in Estrella Estates now. It is very nice. It is a very new facility. They have only been open for a year. It is very modern. The management is good. My only complaint is the food sometimes is not good to me, but everybody has your own way of cooking meals, and what they prefer. That’s my only complaint; otherwise, they are wonderful. In the activities, I like the beanbag baseball.

We have placed my mother in Estrella Estates which is a very nice facility. She gets the care that we need for her right now. It’s only a year old. It’s clean and bright; the staff is very attentive. We also engaged a home health care agency that works in-house for a number of services like med reminders.
I have tried the food. It’s heavy on carbohydrates and sodium, but there is a chef there who tries very hard to make do with what they have. I noticed that there’s a Sysco truck that makes delivery but they do have tried very hard to bring in fresh food and try to make it attractive but I noticed it is saltier than my mother and I are used to. I understand that they have a very small kitchen and I think that goes along with the fact that they have prepared food brought in so I think they’re somewhat limited.
From what I could determine, the cost there is more affordable than some of the other places there and is fairly reasonable for what my mother is getting. The cost was what has led us to Estrella Estates and the fact that it’s only a mile from her home. She has a small studio-type apartment. It’s one big L-shaped room and a nice big bathroom with a big walk-in shower. She has a refrigerator, a sink, a microwave, and a balcony. It’s very nice, I would say, for the price. She’s not totally happy but, at least, it gives us a breather so that we can resume our lives.

I thought Estrella Estates was very nice. We had lunch there, and we toured the place. The people were very accommodating and very helpful. It was a good tour. I liked it. The apartments were more expensive. The dining area was very lovely. They had a good chef and an excellent menu.

Estrella Estates is close to where my mother was looking at the time -- lower price, brand new and it was a nice looking place. All the staff seems to be very nice, and they’re still working really hard to get people in and working hard to make it a nice place. There is still some details that need to be worked out. The dining area is very lovely, and the food is delicious. They probably need more of a variety of activities, but they are still new. I like that it feels safe and secure and the people are friendly.

Estrella Estates is very nice. It is new and clean, and it just seems like a pleasant place. The room and dining room is nice and good. I didn't notice any activities at the time. Estrella Estate is more of a retirement living community. The staffs were great. They were good.

Estrella Estates is a brand new facility and close to my home. She moved in fairly recently, and everything seems very nice. It’s very homey. Her apartment has a very nice view and is a very beautiful place.
The place is decorated with Christmas decors, they have a very nice library and a pool table, and they just have all kinds of activities.

Estrella Estates was a top-notch community. It was beautiful. It supposed to open in September. The staff was a great bunch of people. They had a rehab onsite and they had people who will work with you. They had pool rehab and weight room rehab. I visited a few facilities and this one was a really nice place. The apartments were beautiful. They had everything my father wanted in a facility. We had a meal and everything there was great. The food was very, very good. Every day, there is something on the chart for the residents to do. They could stay busy 24/7 if they wanted to. There were all different kind of programs depending on the individual. It was a small facility. They wanted to stay small so they can attend to all the people's needs, and that's really nice. It is not considered as assisted, but they do assist in a lot of things. They do have a bus service but the bus service is not handicap accessible. It would be nice if the bus is capable of lifting you onto the bus and getting you on and off for your doctor's appointment. That's one thing that would have been nice.
