The Terraces of Phoenix is beautiful. The staff was great. They have lots of activities. They are just remodeling, so it's super nice. The staff members are very friendly and knowledgeable. They have everything. They have three different restaurants, a movie theater, a barber shop, a community center, and a nail salon.

The assisted living building (The Lodge) is very nice but beware...there seems to be a high level of forcing residents into their memory care facility regardless of overall functionality. We know of residents who have moved to other assisted living facilities due to the ultimatums they have received from the assisted living management. At their insistence, in trying to force a premature move for our mother, we met with management where we all agreed on a criteria where such a move would be warranted. None of those conditions have been realized but we were told that our 95 year old mother either make the move in 30 days or get out. We are moving her to another assisted living residence.

The Terraces Assisted Living had a nice outside balcony where I could be by myself, as well as other outdoor areas where I could sit around. The apartments were spacious, large, and very well done with their own balconies. There's an extra storage room, which comes in handy. It was fairly new and up-to-date. They also had a lot of activities. There were several eating areas, and the cuisine was excellent. It had a very friendly atmosphere and was nice.

We liked the Terraces. We liked the openness and the friendliness of the place, and it was something we could afford. They had a condo or apartment and a garage attached. It was at the right size, and you could access it from the street easily.

The people were very nice at The Terraces. The only reason we did not choose it was they did not have the availability that we wanted, and the rooms were a little small. They had a nice, big cafeteria. It was a very nice place. I liked it.

My mom moved into the Terraces. It is very nice, and my mom is really happy there. She has a nice little apartment with one bedroom and a full kitchen. She likes the dining area. She makes a lot of friends. It is really pretty. She has a nice view of the mountains from her apartment. She plays bridge there. There's a little work out thing so my mom's active. The staff is OK. She has house cleaning once a week. She eats in the dining room six days a week. They have a little cafe that she can have lunch or breakfast in as well. I eat there once a week or so, and the dining area is nice. They allow you to take the food home with you. I like that my mom feels safe and she is happy.

I think The Terraces Assisted Living is an absolutely beautiful assisted living facility located just minutes away from downtown Phoenix and minutes away from Scottsdale. The Terraces provides you with a more active lifestyle living community. Each room is designed differently for what you are looking for. This community has wonderful resources that allows them to offer different activities that assisted living homes cannot like Brain Fitness and Continuing Education courses to staff and residents. The Terraces allows the residents to lead their communities committee. This is a great facility for active seniors that need minimal care. While there, I witnessed that The Terraces is set up for active seniors that like to socialize, do  activities, and can enjoy he community and all that they offer. In general, I would rank this facility five out of five stars.

The Terraces has become one of my favorite retirement communities to visit. Having undergone major renovations, over the past five years, it is a beautiful, modern facility, with all levels of care and an attentive staff. The atmosphere is upscale, yet very comfortable, and welcoming to visitors. Residents are friendly with one another, and they speak very highly of the staff.
