The facility is a converted house in a residential area, with safety upgrades to make it very senior-friendly. The decor makes residents feel like they're living at home, plus there are two dogs who keep residents entertained and provide unconditional love when needed. The staff is excellent; always attentive to resident's needs, dispensing medications on time, providing home-cooked meals and being very patient with gently reminding memory-challenged residents who need help remembering where they are. Another great amenity in the home is a piano, which my mother-in-law plays almost daily, providing nice background music for activities of daily living while giving residents an opportunity to sing along as well.
