We chose Holiday Westgate Village for mom because the laundry room is inside the apartment. She has a studio on the first floor and so it is close to the front door and the side door. The place feels very home-like. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have activities, a pool, a bistro, a nice dining area, transportation, and housekeeping. It is an affordable place.

I liked my visit to the Holiday Westgate Village. The people who work there were very nice and very cordial. I saw a 1-bedroom which looked average, the place looked well-maintained. They had facilities where I could take my dog, they had two dog parks at the facility. I didn't see too many people outside of their rooms or at least they were not there. They had a workout room, a room for people to play cards and watch TV together, and they have a swimming pool. There is no buy-in, which I liked, so there's no upfront money set. The average for a 1-bedroom with the facilities they offered was around $3000 a month, which was affordable. It was close enough to shopping facilities and there's a movie theater just down the street from it, so there are other amenities off-site that I found favorable. If I was going to choose between the two places I've toured, I would choose this one.

I toured Holiday Westgate Village. The manager was very accommodating and sincere. I was introduced to some of the residents and had lunch with them. The food was good. I just ordered a cheeseburger. As far as the cleanliness and the layout, the dining room was fine. The physical appearance of the facility was good. They showed me everything. They showed me the grounds and the different things that they had as far as the salon and the theater room.

I am living in Westgate Village now. It is great. They're wonderful here. They're very kind. It's very clean. I'm very impressed with how clean they upkeep. They have all types of activities. There are movies, games and they go on the bus to visit. Just every day, there are new activities. The staff is excellent, very knowledgeable and very kind. My room is very clean, very roomy and very pretty. The view is gorgeous. It's a very nice room. They offer three meals a day, and they're all excellent. They have top rated cooks. The facility, the activities and the value for money are excellent.

I like that Westgate Village is close to where our children live. It has every amenity you could ask for like all three meals, an exercise room, a theater, events going on all the time, a heated swimming pool, and transportation if you need it. I like the layout of the apartments. The people there are very friendly. They did an excellent job on the tour. The person who toured me was great. They have weekly light housecleaning included. We're moving in next week. They have one-bedroom-one-bath, and they have a two-bedroom-two-bath, a living room, a kitchen, lots of closet space, and your own individual storage room. They have a courtyard and a heated swimming pool.

I went to Westgate Village. It was really nice on the outside; but once you got inside, it was not what I had expected. It was very crowded, and my dad would have to come at certain times to eat. He could only eat from eight to eight thirty for breakfast, and then he could eat up to twelve thirty for lunch. The apartments were smaller than the other places I had visited. I think it was just so crowded. They're so close together, and I don't feel it's enough space for the people that are residing there. The staff was very kind and very informative, but they were kind of pushy. They had a promotion going on, and I had just started looking. It was kind of like, "You have to decide by the end of this week, so that you can get the discount." I think it was a bit rushed and almost all the other places I visited took at least 30 minutes, where here I toured in like 10 -15 minutes.

Westgate Village has no assisted living. I haven't officially moved in yet. It seemed to be in better shape. There were no odors, and everything was in good working order. They have a pool, a room for movies, and a couple of other community rooms. I haven't eaten breakfast there yet, but I had lunch, and I had dinner there one night and it was pretty good. They keep the facility up tip-top.

My mother is in Westgate Village. It's like a hotel, apartment-style, condo, or something like that. The staff is fantastic, very caring, and involved in the residents' lives. The place is new. It's only a few years old, so it's in great condition. I have not eaten the food, but the menu looks really good. There is an activities director and they always have things going on. They do crafts, bingo, and outings. She's still in her first year, but so far, I would say value for money is excellent. It includes three meals a day, you pay a one-time activity fee and you get all the activities, you get free wi-fi, you get housekeeping service, and she got a free flat-screen TV when she moved in. It's excellent.

My mom moved into Westgate Village in Glendale. There's a couple of things that are still closed because of COVID, and they don't have a home health service on staff yet. They are working on it, but it's not on staff yet. The staff has been really good though, and my mom says the food is excellent. They have activities like bingo, and they also go on trips. The place is beautiful. Everything is brand new and it looks really nice. I just feel like the independent living rooms should be a little bit bigger for the amount that they cost.

I liked Westgate Village because it has all the upgrades. It has a washer and dryer in the rooms and full kitchen, and that's more than I have here where I am, and the prices are cheaper down there in Arizona too, but I'm not able to move at this time, but it is a nice place, and I really think it would be a great place to live. They have many activities; I'm sure people will enjoy all of them or some of them. I thought the atmosphere was good and I thought the person that did the tour was great, so I would recommend it if anybody was interested.

My dad is at Westgate Village in Glendale. Since my dad moved in, I have only been there a couple of times to just move his stuff in. He has been in quarantine for 10 days and that just ended yesterday, so I really haven't been able to take him and walk around the facility. Everybody has been very friendly and helpful. The residents there also seem very friendly. His room is great. It is a one bedroom apartment. It has a full kitchen with a sink, microwave, stove, and refrigerator. It is really nice. It has a little balcony and it is up on the second floor. The bathroom is really nice too with a walk-in shower and it is really big. The other thing is the door to the bathroom. If you need a wheelchair and you need a mobile chair to move you around, the door is wide enough to get in and out of. The place looks very nice. Covid was happening so there was nobody in the dining room. They kind of had it blocked off, but the facility is really nice. It looks brand new, everything is clean, and the staff is really friendly. They have a big dining room and then there is a little café. There is a pool in the back too. I've met the activity coordinator and she said they do a lot of stuff, but they did not get into too much these days. I know on the second level they have a movie theater. When I was at the elevator, I saw that they were going to do some kind of bingo. There is a shuttle that takes folks to wherever they need to go such as doctor's appointments. They also have a little exercise room. Everything looks nice, brand-new and clean there. I would say it's good value for the money. They provide 3 meals a day and they do his linens and clean once a week.

My tour at Westgate Village was really good; it was much better than expected. They invited us back for lunch. The people were very friendly and very helpful, and they answered all my questions. It seemed like there was a lot to do when you were there, and they give you your meals and your snacks. I was pretty impressed with it. I'm going back there tomorrow for their lunch. The facility was very clean.

My friend moved into Westgate Village. He really loves it. He chose it because of the pricing. When I took the virtual tour, I liked what I saw, plus the lady was very welcoming, so that's the major reason why he wanted to be part of it. He likes the community. They're very welcoming, very nice, and cordial, and he is enjoying it there. The food is great, and he likes the service. He says his room is very spacious.

Westgate Village is easy to move around. It's all in one building, and their units are really spacious. The staff seems to be friendly, and they even said to me that being two years away from being 55 myself, and a person with a physical disability, they could get me in with my mom if we choose to relocate there. The model unit they showed us can fit a queen size bed, and it had a nicely open kitchen. Under normal times, it's big enough for a few visitors. They also have your cable TV hooked up, your internet included. It was very homey and the receptionist was very helpful. During these times, they were making food packages for the residents. They have a big spacious dining room and even though they are social distancing right now, they had four tables put together so that a group of four people could eat together. They sent me home with some food from that dining room too and it was very good. They have games and a fitness center. They do shopping and can take you to doctors' appointments.

Westgate Village is great. My parents are in quarantine for the first two weeks, so there's not much going on obviously right now, but the people are great, and everything's been good. The food is good and well-rounded, much better than the situation they have been in previously, as to options and quality. The facilities are great, but we haven't been able to utilize them. It's shut down, but they've got lots of great options. It's great as far as the cleanliness, how it's taken care of and maintained, and the options that are available when they can get out of the apartment.

Westgate Village was in a quite busy area with stores and restaurants. The football stadium and the hockey arena are right there. The staff seemed very nice. The dining room was open and there were people around. The apartments were quite nice. I looked at three different rooms, and they have a studio. The 1-bedroom seemed small to me but they're bright and nice. They have a nice program that was called "Snowbirds". You can go down and get an apartment for a minimum of three months, for how many months you want during the winter, and not all year round. The staff were very friendly. I happen to like trees and they did not have any. They have grass but they did not have trees, there's a lot of sunshine. I would want to see more green around it.

I've been staying in Westgate Village and it's been very good. The food is excellent and they have a full-time chef. The staff is very good, kind, and efficient. My room is great, it's very, very nice. It's all very good, and I'm really happy here. I highly recommend it. I haven't participated in any activities yet because I'm still in quarantine. It's definitely very worthwhile. This happened to be the first place I visited and it was everything I could expect, so I really didn't bother to look at other places anymore.

My mom is now at Westgate Village. So far, it's wonderful. It's absolutely wonderful. She has only been there a little while, but the whole thing has been great. The staff is extremely welcoming and accommodating. The facility is beautiful. There's nothing there that we don't like so far. The rooms are beautiful. They're really, really good, just perfectly set up for an older person. My mom is actually in a studio apartment. She is pretty picky with the food, but so far she has had good thing to say about it. As far as I remember, they're having her quarantined for two weeks before she is allowed to participate in anything. They have bingo and painting. They have a little movie theater room.

I went to Westgate Village. My friend and I went into the facility. We arranged to have it in-person. It was a very positive tour. The staff was very friendly. The person who contacted me had great communication skills. Also communicating right away and following up, they have been outstanding in that regard. The facility itself is beautiful. It's very upgraded, so it's really a nice facility. It's also newer because it is only two years old. The room is very nice. It's upgraded with granite counter tops and stainless steel. The facility is very bright and open. The rooms are terrific. They're nice sizes. We saw different layouts. They're very willing to work with what was in the room and with adjusting closets. With the COVID, they were very good about separating. They were bringing snacks to the rooms throughout the day, and the snacks really looked good. That was really nice. I wouldn't mind being in that place. It's great.

I chose Westgate Village for my friend because of convenience, the price, and amenities. It's an awesome place. If I was retiring, I would move there personally. The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable, and very professional. They've got a heated pool, lots of entertainment, outings, trips to the doctors, three meals a day plus two snacks. We ate there the first day, they served me as well, and the food was very good. Once she is out of quarantine, she'll be able to do a lot and play her music because she's a musician, so she's very happy about that. It's very easy for the elderly to get around because of wide hallways, and they use their scooters on-site. It's really nice for elderly people. I've spoken to many, but this one stuck out my friend's eyes, so I went that way. It's a love at first sight for her. She was very happy with that.

Westgate Village was brand new and very nice. The person during the visit was delightful. It seemed a very good place to stay. I'm concerned of the low occupancy rate after a year, which surprises me considering it's such a lovely place. I was also concerned that because they're new, they don't have such a well-developed entertainment activities agenda. They didn't have a woodworking area or craft classes or meetings set up, which is my husband's and my interest. It didn't seem to have as many organized adventures out. It had independent living only, which was a concern for us as well. They had a bistro and a lovely dining room and the menu looked great. It's a Holiday retirement and you could stay at a whole load of different Holiday places in the United States, and they give you the opportunity to stay there for a week for free.

Westgate Village was very nice, but the apartments were all inside one building and you'd have to park in the parking lot and then walk down a long hallway to your apartment. They had a library, a heated pool, and a workout room. The staff was very nice and very informative. The location was great because it was very close to family and Westgate Shopping Center was really close.

Westgate Village is a brand-new facility with very few residents. It's high quality construction. The front office people were helpful and professional. There are contracted providers that you can work with. It's strictly independent living. It was very nicely done, but the rooms were a little smaller than the other places we visited. They have a gym, an eating area, they serve three meals a day, there's a beauty shop, recreation room, group activities, and transportation locally. The accommodations were like apartments.

Westgate Village is brand new so it was very beautiful, airy, and spacious. There weren't very many people living there yet when I visited. There were quite a few amenities and activities to choose from, and most of them were close by, including the casino. Even painting is offered, which I thought was very nice. They also have puzzles, reading, a library, and music. It was interesting. The room they showed me was way too small. The kitchen has a space where you can put bar stools in lieu of a dining table because the living room isn't big enough to accommodate even a small dining table. The staff member who showed me around was friendly, but seemed a little bit nervous the whole time. The food itself was fairly good but wasn’t topnotch.

Westgate Village's employees are very friendly. The place is very clean and professional. It was very nice, and they were popping popcorn when I was there so it smelled good in the air. It's just beautiful and very good. Everything that I saw that I wanted to do, they had. They have a game room, movies, a gym, spa, a hair salon, and transportation, which is a big thing for me.
