Experience - not so good

This is not to comment on the facility itself or the care received. My aunt was there and we did visit here. In essence, I was not dissatisfied with the place.
My issue is my Aunt was there for one day in December and was moved to a hospice facility where she passed. By December 8 all of her belongings were removed from her room.
We contacted the administrator for a refund for the days she was not there in December. He did promise to send a check but never did. We talked to him at least three different times; each time he said he would send a check but never did.

We toured Blue Sage Assisted Living. It was backed up to a golf course. The girl was very forthcoming with chitchatting and talking about the clients, and the things that they do with them. It was a very nice facility. There were at least two attendants, I saw at least two, I think.
They have a pool, so I guess they do swimming therapy or something. They had several residents in the living room. The house was a little more lived-in looking, but it was clean. They also have a pet, which I was very excited about because my mom was very much into the dogs. It was a little dog, and she was adorable.
The young lady was very forthcoming with answering questions. She said they try to cook for each individual. She also said that for breakfast they don't all have to have eggs and bacon; they can have cereal, or oatmeal, or whatever it is they want for breakfast. So, they do not have a strict "on Tuesdays we're having pancakes and on Wednesdays we're having eggs," they don't do that. Whatever they request is what they make for them, which I thought was very nice. My mom eats everything, so it does not matter. She said she tries new menus all the time, and new recipes for evening meals, and if somebody doesn't like red sauce, then they make white sauce for that one or two people. She tries very hard to cook for the individuals that don't eat the same as others, which I thought was a really nice idea. I really liked it. You had to come through a gated front patio, which was kind of neat because it had a keypad on it. So, when you want to leave, you have to push a keypad type thing, so it keeps the clients in.

My tour experience with Blue Sage was very good. The staff was very nice, and very professional. They weren't expecting me. We were all masked. They checked my temperature, and they had me signed a guest book. The facility was very clean. The care provider wore a mask. They had several bathrooms. Their laundry facilities were very well-maintained. The bathrooms were well-maintained. Everything was very clean and organized. The backyard was clean and organized. Their activity space was clean and organized. Their kitchen was clean and organized. Their bedrooms had full closets. Very well-maintained, clean; no smell. Everything was very clean and sanitary. They had three people on staff.
