Parkland Memory Care is a community created for individuals with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and other memory impairments. Our beautiful facility is specially designed to create a comfortable and familiar environment for our residents to feel loved and right at home. Life Engagement Program

Our Life Engagement activities are designed to meet the needs of each resident. These programs are developed around each person’s specific interest, abilities, past history, and routine. Engagements flow throughout each day to promote cognitive, sensory, creative, and physical skill.

In addition, the program supports life skills, enhancing each resident’s ability for self-care. Life Engagements promotes and encourages individual activities such as setting the table, folding laundry, and arranging flowers.

By creating a familiar environment, Parkland Memory Care encourages everyone to participate in the activities of our community; which may include visiting with children from a neighborhood school, creative arts, or reminiscing about a favorite vacation.

My mother-in-law recently moved into Parkland Memory Care. I was very impressed with the person that we talked to at the beginning. She was very passionate and knowledgeable about the whole disease process. She had been doing it for many, many years and I was very impressed with that. Everybody so far has been extremely kind, welcoming, caring, and willing to help. We saw and toured the building. They mix levels; they don't separate. I like the decor, and the light, open look. From what I can see, it looks very clean. The residents seemed happy, and they had some activities going on. Twister was going on and it was pretty cute. They take them on field trips and some other things. They're very busy and they don't let them stay in their rooms. They make them come out to the area where everybody is out there with the rest of the people. They have the salon with the pedicure, manicure, and hair. They have a pharmacy, but we haven't done any of that yet. It's an excellent location. It's a mile and a half from our house and is right around the corner. They showed us a menu and it looked good. They have a therapy dog that comes in and they will let us bring our dog together with his records and registration. My mother-in-law likes her dog. They said that they have a furniture package, but we already have them at the other place. I will just look over and move it. But it looks like you can do it either way. They encourage a single bed because they thought it would be better, but it wasn't necessary. It looks great, clean, and welcoming. I know we're paying a little bit more over there than we were paying but if it helps and it does her good, it's worth every penny.

I recently toured this community and was really impressed with the amenities, rooms, and outdoor areas. The staff was friendly, and were very helpful, explaining the process of moving in and also showing the community and the activities that were going on when I visited. This community was the nicest one we visited.
