We liked Brookdale Central Chandler. Unfortunately, it was a bit out of our price range. That was the first we went to. We thought everything was wonderful. The rooms were very clean, and very streamlined. We liked the layout. They were kind of like little studio apartments. We left quite impressed with that place. We saw an activity; it was pretty funny because it looked like folks were having a good time. They looked like they were playing some board games in the lobby, and someone's grandkids were there. There was a group of ladies, I think they were in wheelchairs or walkers, and they looked like a group of friends going somewhere within the building to play a game or do some kind of activity. They invited us to join them, but we had to decline. The staff were wonderful, too. I can't remember the name of the girl that helped us, but she was patient with us. I think she realized right away that we were just really exploring, trying to learn. She did a really good job. She showed us a couple of different rooms, and just really explained the available options. Even after we knew right away that it was a bit out of our price range, she was still pretty helpful just helping educate us. We mainly talked with one gal and I'm sorry I can't remember her name. She was wonderful, very patient, and very thorough with us.

My tour experience at Brookdale Central Chandler was awesome. The lady was knowledgeable and she did a good job. In terms of the rooms, it was like I was on a hospital floor, but they deal with a lot of dependent people, so it was expected to have carts out in the hall. The rooms were a little smaller. The living atmosphere was ok, I saw some activities and they were playing some games there. The facility itself was a little bit old-looking.

I liked Brookdale Central Chandler a lot. The rooms were nice. The price was quite a bit higher though than everybody else. Everything was awesome. The lady that gave me the tour was Mary, and she was extremely nice and I had very good talks with her. I wasn't sure why they would be so much pricier than anybody else. They don't have like pools or tennis courts or anything like that. It's just apartments. There was a central courtyard. As far as the assisted living, it was kind of in a separate building on the campus there. There's nothing wrong with it, but I don't want to go somewhere as far out as Chandler. I like to keep somewhere a little bit closer to Mesa. It was very nice. I loved the layout and the fact that it was a single floor. That would be the best thing for someone like my dad.

Brookdale Central Chandler was very nice and very clean. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable and they had a lot of great activities and great food menu choices. They could bring their own furniture to make it feel like home when they live there. The dining area was nice, open, spacious, and very welcoming. The room was cozy, nice, spacious, and very personalized with a very large bath. They had a salon so that they wouldn't have to go offsite to get their hair done, they did both men's and women's hair.

I went to see Brookdale Central Chandler assisted living. It's very hospitable and safe. It just felt safe because of the way the courtyard was set up and the office, it was like a square. The way it was set up from the entrance to the back of the property on all four sides. It was a single-level building so to me, it felt safe. My mom likes to be on the second or third floor though because she feels safer on a different floor, not on the regular floor. She doesn't feel safe there. The apartment we saw was clean. I wouldn't say spacious because the rooms are not that big. There was no kitchenette. They just had it set up for people that were not as mobile and my mom is still mobile. She's still independent where she can get in and out though she still needs assistance. If she's not mobile anymore, I thought that would be a good fit but she's not there yet. The staff was very nice, very informative, and very open. She was very willing to help my mom. She made us feel like if it was not a good fit for mom, there might be other places for her and she just wanted my mom to be comfortable. She did not make her feel like that was the only option she had and she was very considerate of my mom. I didn't try the food, but I did see the dining room and it's beautiful and spacious. It was just set up very elegantly. I saw the menu and it looked good. Mom liked the menus and they had at least two different choices for their meals.

Lovely facility! My husband is in need of care, and I was really impressed with Traci H, who took great care of us from the start! She was kind enough to lead us on a virtual tour, knew every residents name and showcased all of the amenities available to residents. The facility was bright, clean and cheery! Covid has really inhibited the staff's ability to provide activities and events for the residents, but they go out of their way to engage residents. The outside grounds are beautiful as well. We are very much looking forward to my husband becoming a resident of Brookdale Chandler.

very impressed with the Sales Manager, Traci and Ben the nurse who did the interview for my Mom. We are excited to have my Mom at Brookdale when she is approved for ALTC.

Brookdale Central Chandler was very much like a hospital. The rooms were small, shared, and they accept assisted living. The rooms were very small especially for 2 people to share. The dining area was small, too. The facility looked liked it need to be refreshed, but they don’t have funding for that.

My mother is in Brookdale Central Chandler. They've been operating for two years but they can't keep staff members. Everybody has only been there for two to three months. They're having a hard time finding their niche, so until they do, we'll have to move Mom to a safer place. However, it's a very pretty place, that's why we chose them in the first place. They have a game room for the residents that they can get up and go to themselves. Otherwise, they don't have an activities director for the Alzheimer's unit. There are two people to a room. They have a med-tech distributing meds who's neither certified nor an RN, and I think that's wrong.

I am working to get my live one out of here . My comment is on the assisted living not memory care. It has an institutional feel and the impression is it is a warehouse for the elderly. The residents do not seem groomed appropriately and most important there is a sad look in their faces. The staff is chronically understaffed, it is almost impossible to get a phone call in to your love one. They usually do not have an activity director or someone who is liscened to drive the bus, so the residents do not have transportation. Brookdale facilities have a good reputation, but it would seem that the reputation is not derived from this facility.

I would not take a loved one here. My experience with my Mother has been horrific. The high turn over, the med techs are hired through a temp service. Night staff is lazy, no activities for the residents on memory care side. Ive given plenty of time and it continues to get worse. they just had bedbugs. food portions are very small and looks like left overs from assisted living side. Management is very rarely there or when I need to address an issue they are in a meeting, conference call. Medical files are either somewhere here or back there or we're behind on filing. the in house doctor prescribed schitzo med without advising family members

Do not put anyone you love in this facility. It is absolutely awful. The staff has gone steadily down hill over the years. The food is mediocre at best. Expect bed sores, bed bugs, very long wait times when you call for help - imagine walking in to visit someone and a stranger is calling to you to help them because they've fallen, pressed their button and no one is coming. I actually pressed my grandmother's button one time and waited 40 minutes for someone to show up. Just awful. All I can figure is a combination of bad management and high turnover results in a sub-standard living facility. My advice is to go anywhere but here.

My mother is in Brookdale Central Chandler. Their caregivers are very friendly, and caring to the residents. They are in the process of doing some updating, and remodeling. So, it is not pristine yet, but they are working on that. They seem to be very organized. She is in a semi-private room. It is nice. It has a good size closet, pretty nice bathroom, and shower. They have a lot of activities. Unfortunately, because she is confused and blind, there isn’t much that she can participate in. The caring attitude of the actual caregivers impresses me most. I guess the food is pretty good.

My father doesn't like it at Brookdale Central Chandler. We're thinking about moving him because we're not happy. The room is just OK, nothing special. The food is fine.

I did visit Brookdale Central Chandler. The people there were great, and what they offer is wonderful, but the place needed more attention. It looks worn out and not clean. I looked at an apartment, and it was sufficient. I saw some activities when I went there, but they offer quite a bit of activities.

My mom moved in just this May. Everything was very nice. The staff was wonderful, very helpful, and very supportive. My mother to this day has no complaints, so it's been great. She says the food is okay.

It looked good and clean, but it was outdated and had dark tone in it. It also had an old fashion smell. They should improve on their furniture and put something to brighten it up.
