Aurora Place was pretty good, but they were a little more expensive than I wanted to pay. They didn't have a lot of activities, and they didn't have the diversity that I would like. I don't want to live somewhere that's all women. I think they only had four residents that were male. I'd rather have a mix of men and women, which I think is more natural. I would like to have a mix of races as well. I don't want to live somewhere that's all white people. That's kind of important to me. I want to see a mix of people with different kinds of ideas and different kinds of attitudes. I don't want to just go in there and live with other people just like me.

Aurora Place was wonderful. I really liked the staff members. They were very involved with everyone. It had a homey and friendly vibe. Everybody knew everyone. They seemed to have a lot of activities. They had an enclosed courtyard that was gorgeous and very large, so people could go in there to walk around and sit comfortably. Some of the homes opened up into the courtyard, so that was gorgeous. It was definitely a place that I would be willing to stay myself. The rooms were very nice and were a good size. They were on par with everybody else's room sizes. Their kitchen area was not a full kitchen. It was just a refrigerator and a microwave. They have a menu that you can choose items off of. There was a daily menu that you get to pick and choose from. Then if you didn't want something from that, you had a standard menu that you could choose something else from. It was a very clean place.

Aurora Place was very nice. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were neat but a little on the small side. They have daily, weekly, and monthly activities, very much the same activities as what other facilities are offering.

We went to Aurora Place. It's not that good. It's a very small facility. There are only 54 people live there. That's not a downside, but the facility was small. The rooms were small. The kitchens were very small, and they didn't even have full-sized appliances. It was actually more costly than the other places we looked at. The staff was very good. I think they do well with what they have. The pricing is high; they're $1000 more than the others.

We went over to Aurora Place to visit and had lunch with a relative. The staff was very, very friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised that the food was really good. The facility was pretty, modern, looked clean, and smelled clean. It was very nice. The grounds were also pretty and that's why I'm going to do a tour again of the place because I have some questions for them, and we're kind of hoping we can get our mother-in-law there. It was a good place for our aging family members, and we had no complaints about the place at all.

I really liked Aurora place. I would have my mother go there, but the price was out of this world. My mother needs assistance with getting into a chair with a Hoyer and they offered that, but it was just an extreme price. I can pay up to $2500 a month, but not $5500 a month. My overall visit was fantastic. It was a 5-star. It is an assisted living, but they also offer level 6 care. I just tested for COVID, so I went right after my test over to the facility, and they gave me a tour. The rooms were beautiful, and everything in it was modern. I looked at the studio. It had a fridge, stovetop, a microwave and everything that she would need. Plus, the bathroom was handicapped-accessible. Where she's staying right now, she could brush her own teeth, but she can't get into the bathroom because it's not wheelchair accessible. Camie gave me the tour, explained everything, and introduced me to other staff members, even though she knew that I was on a fixed income. She even asked the certified nurse to come in and go over some kind of evaluation with my mother, and then they presented me an approximate monthly payment. The only thing I didn't like about them is they had a yearly fee of $2000 and something cents. It was just out of my price range.

Aurora Place is close to where my house is, so moving is not an undue burden. It's in really good shape, and although it's been here for 25 years, it's well taken care of. The apartments are clean and well-appointed with nice paint jobs. The food is a little iffy; they have a couple of different cooks who serve way too much starch. The activities director is very committed to her job and really tries hard.

The only decent one that I found for my parents was a place called Aurora Place. This place is immaculate. There is no smell of urine. They are doing a tremendous job. I like their whole philosophy. All of their staff and employees are cross-trained. There is a resident nurse at the place. There is always somebody there. When a resident pushes their button, the staff is usually there within literally a minute to four minutes. If you choose to be part of a plan where they administer medication, they have med techs too. They have lots of activities, but my parents are not activity-motivated people. I was looking more at the staff members, whether they were caring and compassionate, and at the ratio of caregivers to occupants.

Aurora Place was a small, nice, and clean facility that was nicely furnished, although not as clean nor as big as the other place I visited. This was a more common place. The staff was very nice.

Aurora Place was close. It was just a couple of blocks away. It had different sizes of apartments. It’s in a good neighborhood accessible to a hospital and shopping centers. The staff was helpful, friendly, and did a lot of follow up. Everybody has been helpful.
