My friend is a past resident of Upon the Rock Assisted Living. It was actually small and very clean, people were friendly, and it was home style. I liked it. They had a salon, bingo, chair exercises, and all that. They often had parties and events. They were all friendly and caring, and they answered any questions. I know it's expensive, but all assisted living is expensive, and I think they got what they paid for with the prices nowadays.
