My husband is at North Valley Assisted Living. I’m only allowed to see him at 10 a.m. and a little bit in the afternoon. The facility is very nice, and the people are nice; however, they need to improve on their visiting hours. Everyone else that I talk to has open visiting hours. My husband has been there for three weeks now. The facility is clean and beautiful, but their visiting hours policy is my biggest problem. I’ve only seen him three times. In the first two weeks, they did not want us to visit because they said it would help get him acclimated there and get the drugs right. They have 10 beds. It is a locked facility. I thought it was beautiful, and I like the caregivers, but the biggest let down is that I haven’t been able to see him.

Do not under any circumstances use this home. My parents have just moved to this home and they do not have their cell phone been taken from them and the home will not allow me to speak to them. It's been a week since I have spoken to my parents. I live out of town and it's very stressful and concerning that this is happening.

This is a private home facility with 5 residents. The house and grounds are nice and well maintained. They have a backyard with grass and a walkway.
They have 2 houses in Glendale.
They have private and semi-private rooms. All are handicapped equipped.
They do housekeeping and laundry.
They do home cooking with 3 meals and snacks. The food is ok.
The owner has a doctor she works with and there is an RN who comes in every three months. All caregivers are certified. They transport to doctor appointments. The atmosphere to me was not that homey. Was not impressed with staff. Have assisted and dementia residents.
They do activities as exercises, one on one, arts and crafts, and movies. They have birthday parties. They go out to lunch, shopping. and casinos.
