We toured Woodland Heights. It is extremely clean. They offer all the services we were looking for and more. The staff sold it for us. They were amazing. The size of the apartment, the bathroom, and the accessibility, all of that was just fantastic. The apartment had very large windows, so it felt very bright. I wanted a very small kitchen space because I don't want my father-in-law to have a lot of room to cook or to keep things. And the bathroom was the best of what we saw as far as access in and out of the shower with not stepping over anything and having lots of rooms and lots of hand bars. The bedroom had windows as well as the living room, and that was nice, too. They showed us the entire facility like all the dining rooms, the barbershop, the PT facilities, and the party room. It was very updated, nice, and classy. My husband and I are possibly moving to Northwest Arkansas, and Woodland Heights has a sister location there. They have facilities up there as well as at Little Rock. If we were to move, we could just transfer my father-in-law with us, which would be awesome. The fact that they had facilities in other locations was a big deciding factor as well. The location, the staff, the layout, and the rooms were the best. The directors communicating with us and following up and asking questions have just been impressive. Overall, they make me feel like they care the most because they have reached out and asked every question. They have just been wonderful.

Woodland Heights is kind of an apartment setting. It's just pretty. I've had some friends that have had some parents there, and they liked it, too. The rooms were very nice and the staff who toured me around was wonderful. It's Christmas time, so everything was very festive-looking. Everything was brand new, and my mom is going to have a balcony in her apartment. She will be on the third floor and she will have a wonderful view. It just made her happy, so it makes me happy. They have dining rooms, and there's even one on the third floor for her, so she doesn't have to walk to the main one. It's very nice, spacious and looks very clean and pretty. As far as activities, they have a whole list of it posted all over the walls and the elevators. One day, they had a Christmas Carol and somebody was playing the piano. They also have a happy hour every afternoon, an exercise room, paintings, and all kinds of games (I think they have a big bridge playing card game.)

I saw all the levels of care of Woodland Heights. It was too independent and too high functioning for my mother. The rooms were very homey, very spacious and well laid out. The person who assisted me was pretty occupied though. I didn't observe any activities, too. They had a barber shop, a piano, and a bar.

We were very pleased with Woodland Heights. Part of it was location, and we can visit more often. My cousin has a nice room that's very convenient and a nice size. It's only one room, but it has a refrigerator and a kitchenette. They seem to take good care of him. It's not really new, but it has a "new" feel to it. They even have a happy hour. I've eaten with him a couple of times, and I thought the food was very good. I'm welcome to eat when I want to, or with any family or friends. They have their own little dining area for extended care assisted living. The marketing person is excellent, and went above and beyond to get us a room. They have bingo, singers coming in, and arts and crafts.

Woodland Heights' rooms were good. It was a very nice, new, and up-to-date facility. The staff was very friendly and professional. The place is very clean and I saw a library, a church, a meditation room where they do exercises, a game room, and they have a lot of activities. I also saw a swimming pool and the van or bus which takes them places.
