My mother was in Forest Manor Health and Rehab. I did not see the long-term facility. She was just in rehab and that was very nice. The employees were all very helpful and friendly and just did their jobs very well. The administration was just as important to me and they did very well too and helped, especially with her transition home. They're wonderful. They had three meals a day. Of course, you can't season food as well in these facilities, but that was her only problem. The meals that they offered were fine. The room she was in was very nice and it had a refrigerator, but there was no microwave. They had an area where they had equipment for PT, but they could also come to the rooms for those that were not able to make it there. They had beauty shops as well and they brought books to the rooms for her to read and to do puzzles or other things. Value for money wasn't disappointing.

My immediate impression of this facility was that it was extremely clean and that most of the patients appeared to be well cared for. After spending a bit more time there I realized that the upper level management, doctors, and actual nurses were well informed professionals, however, the staff who delivered the patients food and who took care of their day to day needs did not seem as caring. They treated some of the residents with less respect than I thought appropriate but I was there during a certain part of each day. The management team at this facility seems to know what they are doing and I'm sure this facility is at the very least as good as other equal facilities in the area. My loved one was unhappy during the amount of time she spent there but I don't think anyone wants to be in an assisted living facility.
