Longleaf Liberty Park is an upscale facility but they struggled consistently with the number of caregivers that were required on the floors. They could not get consistent people to work there. It is a high-end facility, but their care was very bad. I know that everyone's been struggling with getting workers to stay, but they were unable to have the right amount of workers. There were times when they wouldn't even have the right number of nurses that they needed. They just ran on short staff and most of the time when the workers were there, they didn't want to do their jobs. There was a management issue. It was a brand-new facility, so it was beautiful. It's in a high-end area of town. It was very lovely. My mother got to where she was needing more care. It's assisted living, so obviously they couldn't give her the extra care that she was needing. It took us probably six to eight weeks to find an open skilled nursing that we could get her into and they never kicked her out, which was amazing. They had activities often and she participated in them. It was very expensive, and the food was terrible. They struggled the entire time that she was there trying to get someone to take care of that. One time they had to order pizza for them, and she got a piece of pizza. The whole time my mother was there was difficult and when we could not get her out to go to a skilled nursing facility, they were not hounding us to figure something out. They worked with us because they couldn't give her more care than they could offer. It took over two months for us to find a place and that is huge. That is something that we were surprised by and would not have expected from everything that had happened. It was amazing that they did that.
