I visited The Brennity at Daphne for my mom. The staff was very nice, competent, and answered all my questions. I thought she was good. I liked the layout. It was like spokes on a wheel, sort of. There was a lot of nice open areas for the residents to sit and relax. They have a nice courtyard. Their eating area looked very nice. The place looked very clean and did not have the typical nursing home smell.

I went to The Brennity at Daphne for my parents. They had very nice rooms too. The place for the memory care was very nice. I like how they had it set back in time. When people lose their memories they always remember their early days, so they have it set back to the early days. It is just very interesting; it is very nice that way. It has a hair salon and a soda fountain where you can go and get milkshakes. It also has Elvis' pictures around the place. It was very nice; I liked that a lot. It was very retro in the memory care section. The appointment that was set up for us was on a Saturday, but they didn't know we were coming, and they didn't have a normal person doing the tour. It was just somebody who was in the office there. She did a good job, but probably with the person that normally does it, the tour would have been a lot more thorough.
