I visited Greensprings Assisted Living. The best thing is that it's very small. There are only maybe 16 in the whole assisted living side, so you get a lot of personal care. The thing I liked least about it is it's just one-bedroom, a bath, and a small closet. You really don't have very much space.
The staff member, she was very nice and friendly. She took us around and showed us everything and all. She's about the only person we saw there. The residents were either in their rooms or gone somewhere, we didn't even see a resident there out and about. The dining area is adequate for 16 people, nothing really special about it. They do have an activities director during the week, and we didn't see a calendar to see what all they had.
The grounds were nice, and the way it's put together they're pretty much limited to the backyard mostly. The front is very nice and everything, but there's so many steps to get out to the front. It would be difficult to go out and walk around the front unless you got them to unlock the gate to the fence.

All of the Staff members are very informative and very warm & caring. They listen to your concerns and have always been very helpful. The facility is very home-like. There are many activities for the residents to participate in. All of the ones living there appear to be happy and content. Lastly, when you enter in the home there is no odor, and it always appears clean. This is a very well run facility with with a remarkable administration and caregivers that make sure that the residents are well cared for.

I volunteered at Greensprings Assisted Living for their fall and spring festivals. It was such a joy to see the interaction between the residents and staff. The names of each one was known and there was an obvious caring between them. Extra effort was made to be sure each resident was comfortable and able to participate in the activities if they wished. The grounds were well kept and inviting. I loved seeing all of the flowers for spring and the areas available for the residents to sit outside or walk by the fish pond.

My father has been a resident of Green Springs for several weeks now. Thanks to the caring staff, it has been a smooth transition. Green Springs is on a beautiful, wooded lot. The facility is very clean and the rooms are cozy. The nursing staff are very attentive and contact me with any concerns or changes with my father. I highly recommend it.

I'm in the assisted living wing at Green Springs. It's good. I like it here. I wouldn't want to be any place else. I finished my seventh year in August. We have a wonderful staff. We have Christian leaders here in all positions, administrator, business office manager, activity director, and kitchen manager. We have good food here; I enjoy it. We have activities, an activity calendar, and an activity director who participates with us. We have art classes, we have done some paintings, we do games, and we thoroughly enjoy as an entire building the card game, Skip-Bo. We do festivals at least twice a year, sometimes more often. We just have a good time. I have a private bath, a nice closet with refrigerator, and my own private bedroom. I feel like this is a home away from home.

While visiting the facility to see a resident, everyone I encountered greeted with me with a warm, welcoming smile. The aroma coming from the kitchen was just like back in the day at grandma’s. The environment felt like home! I visited on a Tuesday evening while the residents play Bingo and they all seemed to be having a great time. Greensprings, thank you for always making my visits enjoyable!

I’ve had experience with a couple of other ALFs in the area and Green Springs is by far the best. My relative is so happy here. Highly recommend.

The rooms are quaint. You can decorate them as you wish so you get a really homey feel. The staff is always helpful and friendly. There is always something to do or the community comes in to sing or do activities with the residents. That is nice. The food is super. It is all home cooked. The activities usually involve a fun themed snack to. There is a van for field trips or shopping trips. It is located in a quite and wildlife filled area. Lots of birds, there is a koi pond and deer that visit. What is really nice is you only pay one price for everything. No surprises and makes it easy to budget.

The person I spoke to who took me through Greensprings was extremely kind and very knowledgeable. It was a very small facility. They had a mini fridge but no microwave. Also there wasn't any place for residents to store their snacks. The place was very clean and homey. I didn't try any meals, but all the residents said that they were good. I saw several tables for dominoes, but that's not something that Mom does.
