My wife is at The Oaks on Parkwood. She's been under quarantine and now COVID just got it locked down for a while. Their quarantine days are not up either. Because of COVID, I could only get as far as the door. I could not see the facility. She has a cell phone and I can go and see her through her window and talk with her on the cell phone. This past week the food service for two nights was terrible. She got supper at 7:15 and at 8:20, and by the time she got the food it wasn't warm. They said they are short staffed, but that's no excuse for the service there. I let them know yesterday about that and the food service especially. My wife had called me and complained about it, and I called some people to let them know that I was not pleased. The first four or five days they were fine, but the food service just last week was terrible. The staff is not very good. My wife has some special needs that haven't been attended to properly. She had chronic diarrhea and they had been treating her with some medication that made the diarrhea worse. Before we went in, I gave it high marks, but the food service needs to be better than it is.

This is the worst place to put your loved one. Food is horrible. The administrator is someone who looks the other way when there is a problem . Nurses station will not answer phones. They treat the residents horrible. Staff is very unfriendly.

Horrible experience. They just so not care. There were two nurses and two PEAs that were good but I would never recommend plaxong anyone you love here. My mom is still there for 2 more days and then she is coming home with hospice. She is in the rehab part. They only so 1 hour of rehab a day. She deteriorated within 10 days of being there. That is why she is coming home. Just getting eveeythi g set up from Hospice and she will be home. Horrible experience. These are too many incidents to name. Do NOT use them if you can possibly help it. I so not know about the assisted living part...it may be very different.
