My dad moved into Hillview Terrace for long-term care. It's very clean and the staff is very attentive. The only problem that I have is when we go and visit him, he's still in his nightclothes. He's no longer being dressed and that's the only problem. We sent clothes for him to be dressed and for him to be presentable when we see him.
He's in a shared room, but I've never been there because of the COVID restrictions. He's been there about 3 months now and we're not allowed to go into the room.
They have a courtyard. They also have a beauty salon but I don't think the person that does the care for the beauty salon is there. The staff is great, very nice, and very polite. They're very attentive to my questions and his needs.
Do not put anyone in this facility
My father was transferred to this facility to be under hospice care. He passed away about 36 hours after entering this facility. I was not consulted by my mother when she made arrangements to transfer my father from the hospital to Hillview. I would never have consented. When my daughter went to collect my fathers personal effects. No one would assist her, staff were at a Halloween party. Hard earned money is being paid for subpar service. Do not use this facility

My mom was well taken care of. The nurses were very kind and helpful every time she needed something. The facilities are great too!

*Ignoring call lite and Left me on the bed pan for a long time until I was crying and screaming in pain
*Some days no water & ice all day, but other days would wake you up in the middle of the night to give you ice
*Loud music in the hallways
*They either forget to give you your meds or they give them to you too close together
*They tried to give me some one else's meds on more than one occasion and got mad at me because I told them that it wasn't my med.
*my room mate had a pressure wound on her heel and the bandage was not changed. The CNA who bathed her said "this bandage is leaking and it stinks." She said it was the nurses job to change it.
*would bring our meals, but not wake up my room mate to feed her (she could not feed herself), but would remove her tray when they came back later to get the trays.
*Had to call facility to be transfered to nurses station before anyone came to help me
*did not clean the room or other bed after my room mate was moved because she had covid
*not bathing me for 3 days or change my linens after my room mate was diagnosed with covid
*some covid workers do not wear protective gear at all.
*did not get my insulin half the time
*got moved to a different room 9 times in 6 months and every time i got moved, some of my things would get lost and no one even tried to locate my things
*every time I got moved to another room, I missed a day or 2 of therapy.
*NURSES and CNA's do not know how to transfer a person to/from the wheelchair/bed.
*They allowed me to miss meals because they ran out of milk. DID NOT offer me an alternative meal. My Sugar dropped as a result.
*come in, turn off call lite and leave without helping you
*slamming any and all doors (room doors, cabinet doors, closet doors) in the middle of the night
*laughing, yelling and carrying on in the halls like teenage girls in the middle of the night.
*busting into your room shouting and laughing with other cna's out in the halls
*dont properly wash your bottom after using bedpan, just wipe you with DRY wash cloth (rubbing you raw)
*CNA's would not help you if you were not one of their assigned patients
*first 1.5 - 2 hours of a new shift no one responds to a call light becoz they are all gathered around the nurses station yakking & playing while they wait for their hall assignments. That should be made up BEFORE they arrive to work.

Rehab select is an awesome place to place your loved one in. The staff here truly care for their patients, they are not just here for a pay check. The management staff is very knowledgeable and each employee is well suited for their position. The rooms are spacious and clean. The residents are involved in a variety of things including religious study. The therapy department is top notch for those just there for therapy. I I love this facility!!! I would give the facility 5+ stars, awesome people and great place

The entire facility smells. My father’s room was rarely swept or mopped. It seems like the doorway is a portal: the staff tells you they’ll get right on it, yet once they exit your room through that portal, it never happens! My dad was supposed to get an RX prescribed by his doctor on Wednesday, late afternoon. It took until Thursday night, after I complained up several levels before he ever got it. Same thing with treatment of his bed sore and his open wound, which required daily treatment—they tended to it every 3 days!!! The right hand doesn’t communicate with the left hand. No one knows what anyone else is doing. Physical therapist told him he would go home 3 days after he got there—he couldn’t even stand up alone, let alone walk, even with a walker!! Spoke with Occupational Therapist, she said he wouldn’t be able to go home for weeks! A “manager” came to see him on a Saturday to tell him the doctor wanted him to to a different facility for more intensive therapy; yet when we talked with the “administrator” on Monday about the move, no one had any knowledge of it. I cannot recommend this facility to anyone under any circumstances. Choose a different facility for yourself or your loved one.

The facility is very clean and very visually appealing. The staff are quite knowledgable and compassionate with the residents here. I would recommend the facility to anyone looking for a great place to leave their family member or friend. I give Hillview an A plus rating.

The building is filthy, the CNAs have nasty attitudes when you ask for help of any kind, especially when you use the call button! The administrator seems to be the only one who cares enough to listen, so be ready to be challenged and argued with when you ask for help of any kind. If you value your life, health, mental well-being and money....STAY AWAY!!

I am a family member and recently had my mother there for Rehab and was very impressed with the care, compassion and the aggressive rehab. She saw a Dr. or Nurse Practitioner every day it seemed. Highly recommend this facility. Clean and smelled odor free.

Building is old and patient areas are not well maintained. The majority of the staff appear to be uncaring and appear to be very unhappy if a patient uses the call light. Not a place I would want to be and we would not have placed our family member here if we had been given another choice. Strong urine smell in some patient aren't. Appears to be more of a musing home than rehab facility or assisted living. If given a choice shop around.

I went to visit Hillview Terrace, and the facility had a smell to it. It looked like they were so understaffed for the volume of what I saw. Their facility is old, I thought, and it probably needs some upgrading. It seemed like their patients didn’t want to be in their rooms and would rather be hanging out in the hallways, and that tells me that there is something wrong.
