The head of the place was the worst I have every deal with. She would not talk with me or answer my questions. My Person who was in the facility was not treated with respect at the end of her live. It was the worst experience I have every been involved with.

My grandmother was admitted to this facility after a 2 week hospital stay where she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. The management at the facility refused my family access to visit during normal business hours when we had standing appointments. A family member arrived one day to find my grandmother covered in vomit and she had been sitting there long enough for the vomit to dry. They moved her 3 times during her 1 month stay, each time she was moved to a lower quality space. The management said that they moved her due to staffing issues. The facility has a terrible odor and the food is inedible. I am sure that the staff that work with the residents are doing the best they can but we witnessed management scold the staff harshly many times during our visit. They seem more concerned with visitors wearing a face shield and masks than checking on the residents wellbeing. I would definitely think twice before moving a loved one into Whitesburg Gardens.

Truly can not express strongly enough to please not place your loved one at Whitesburg Gardens. My father arrived follow surgery for a broken leg and damaged knee and left 20 days later dehydrated, impacted bowels, UTI and bed sores. Very little therapy provided. Due to covid restrictions we were unable to visit my father and requested updates and information over and over. Communication is none existent and you reach voicemail over and over. We removed him a day earlier than planned because of our concern and were able to get him to the ER where they admitted him to the hospital.

My mother entered this facility with hope....she shortly exited this facility to ER with little hope of recovery. No UTI when admitted...no.bedsores when admitted.. both were present when she arrived at ER and admitted for urgent care. The lack of sanitary conditions and personal care for the person is in my opinion cruel.

This is an older facility but is clean and well taken care of. The staff is wonderful to the patients every time we are there. My mom is amazed at the food. She says it is very tasty and that there is plenty to eat. We would recommend Whitesburg gardens to others looking for a nursing home.

My experience was excellent. The staff was caring and kind to my mother. She had a lot going on with her health at the time but I couldn't have asked for any better care. The nurses and aides showed tremendous compassion and were so professional. I would highly recommend Whitesburg Gardens. There was always a RN on duty that answered all my questions. The Nurse Practitioner was there all week and Dr Johnson was there when we needed him. It was clean and always smelled good. The food was good too. If mom didn't like what they served she was offered a substitute and that made her happy. There was comfort in knowing she had a phone at her bedside to call me if she had concerns. No words can express how grateful we were for the therapy she received. Thank you Whitesburg Gardens. We appreciate all of you for taking such good care of our mom.

My mother died from septic blood infections that spread to her muscles and bones caused by untreated bedsores and UTIs. She couldn’t walk but she had 4 falls in 2 months time. She was malnourished and lost 60 lbs in six months. Her roommate was found by her family unable to talk in July 2018 with a recent weight loss of 10 lbs. The staff said they had decided to take her off her diabetes medication because she was doing good. They didn’t even consult the family. I would never recommend this nursing home to anyone.

My Mother was a patient at Signature Health Care of Whitesburg Gardens IN HUNTSVILLE from late June 2017 to the middle July. She passed away from an untreated urinary tract infection (UTI) she developed while in the facility. Her infection was diagnosed 4 days before she was given her 1st treatment for the UTI. Her 1st medication for the UTI was given to her at 11 pm the night before she was transferred and admitted into the Emergency Room at Huntsville Hospital. Once admitted she was diagnosed with septic shock from the untreated UTI. She was treated within moments after arriving at the Emergency room for the UTI, but by then the infection had SPREAD THROUGHOUT HER BODY and she was given only a 5% chance of survival. She spent 6 hours in ER undergoing continuous treatment just to stabilize her so they could admit her into ICU. After being admitted into ICU she died the next morning. THE 4 DAY DELAY IN THE TREATMENT FOR A URINARY TRACT INFECTION FOR A ELDERLY 76 YEAR OLD IS TOTALLY INEXCUSABLE AND SHOULD NEVER BEEN ALLOWED TO HAPPEN !!

My wife has to share a room with someone at Signature HealthCARE of Whitesburg Gardens. We're not very happy but right now we don't have a choice. There are mostly old people who can't do anything for themselves, so all they do is sit around all day. The food is bad, and she hates it. The building looks clean and isn't bad. I noticed it's starting to smell with the typical nursing home smell. During the day, all of the administrative people are there, so she usually gets pretty good care, but at night time, the care is awful. She's having a rough time. The people I talked to are pretty nice overall.

The food at Whitesburg Gardens looked five star like in a fine restaurant. The flavor, garnish, and aroma was spectacular unlike what you would imagine. It reminded me of home and I felt very welcome. Everyone was courteous, kind and helpful.

The caregivers here took care of my aunt and made her happy by their friendliness and concern, when she had any slight medical problem, they took care of it and had doctor look after her in the facility.
