If I could give this facility negative stars I would. My grandpa was transferred here and in less than a month in their care and he's gone. They broke several bones and refused to do X-rays. After he passed away I went to go pick up his belongings and one of the nurses said "oh he's not coming back huh". None of the nurses care here. They are all too busy on their phones. They had a dresser in front of the bathroom door so neither my grandpa or his roommate had access. While I was there one of the residents was screaming for help and not one caretaker came to help. After 5 minutes I finally went in and helped the man who was walking in his own urine and blind and couldn't find his room. Please for the love of god do not put your loved one in this facility. They just don't care. Not to mention a couple residents had no blankets or sheets on their bed. This facility needs to be shut down before they hurt more people. Not to mention the smell in this place is horrific.

We visited Fairhope Health & Rehab for my mom. The people there were extraordinarily helpful. They were kind, knowledgeable, empathetic, and probably the best people that I talked to. However, this facility is not anything close to adequate or at least not what I was looking for for my mother. The rooms were pretty sparse, small, and they made them share. It was like a shared hospital room. To be completely fair, the building was being rehabbed when I was there. There was a lot of building work going on and things were not in place. The patients' rooms were just drab and looked like hospital rooms. I don't want my mom to be living in a hospital room forever. There is nothing personal about it. They did have a lockdown facility. My mom has Alzheimer's, so she sometimes wanders about. Their facility was just very old and outdated. Their rooms needed to be enlarged and improved. There was mold and rust like in the bathroom. It was just not good. Again, to be fair, they were in the middle of trying to rehab the facility itself. I don't know how it looks now, but it just did not look good then. The rooms that they have people sharing are single patient rooms. They just don't have enough room, so either they are going to enlarge the facility or decrease the number of patients.

This place is a dump. The staff are very nice, but the surroundings are dismal. Torn carpet. Funky ceiling stains. Dark curtains. Shared bathrooms without locks. Shower down the hall. Two thin pillows for the bed. Small thin towel and washcloth. Ive seen 1970s state psych hospitals that were more inviting.

My step father is currently at the Harper Center in Tuscaloosa and they want to send him to this facility, so I made an appt. to tour the facility and I was shocked. The outside of the facility was horrible, looks like it is abandoned, no pride in the place. Then on the inside, there was an odor, the hallways were carpeted and had stains all over them. The patient rooms were horrible, something out of a 1970's Psyh. hospital. All the nurses stations had very limited staff if anyone was there at all. After the tour i was told the price was $5060 a month. Oh, forgot the bathrooms, very stained and outdated. To sum the review of the facility up, I wanted to run home and take a shower to clean it off of me. I hope this helps.

I was pleasantly surprised to find the level of care that they provide. It is an older facility, and has been remodeled to be bright and cheerful. I've observed the staff, and they are very attentive to the patients plus the doctor and nursing staff know each patient on a personal level. If I ask a question, they find the answer.
