We moved my mother to The Goldton at Athens. We like the appearance of the community when you go in and the friendliness of the employees. We like the interaction among the residents and it seems that they enjoy being there. It is just a very comfortable feeling. The layout of their studio apartment is very spacious, with lots of closet space. Mom is still figuring things out since she's just been there for a couple of days, so she hasn't gone to the activities yet. The food has been very good. They have an exercise area with several pieces of equipment. They have a craft room, a bistro area, a nice salon area, and a nice area for doing puzzles.

My mom has moved into the Traditions of Athens. We chose it because it was close to where she lives, I like the facility, the people are very nice, and I believe they could provide what we needed. The staff are really nice. They go out of their way to help you and answer all of your questions. It's very nice. It's very clean, very modern, and up-to-date. I have not tried the food. They have exercise class every morning. They have devotionals and Bible studies. It's kind of expensive, but I can understand why because of the amount of care that they give. Since this COVID, I can't really say about all of it, but from what I've seen, I would give the activities a five.

Traditions of Athens was nice, new, friendly, open, and sunny. They had a little hiccup the night we were there. The chef was not there, so they ended up serving everybody hamburgers that night, but the hamburgers were fine.

I saw Traditions when it was still under construction, but it's open now. They had three different types of apartments, efficiency, 1-bedrooms, and 2-bedrooms. They were spacious, each had their own private bath and closet space, but you furnish it yourself. The staff was accommodating.
