The facility and staff are not equipped or staffed to care for clients wiith illness. Our sistee nearly asphyxiated. She complained of a sore throat for months, she was diagnosed with cancer months later. She required dental treatment before radiation abd chemo. We had to call the supervisir, meet with staff, look for a dentist familiar with cancer of the mouth, the bottom line was money, she did not receive dental treatment. Her oncologist said she had to start radiation immediately, the cancer had spread. The day of radiation, the doctor wouldnot give her radiation because she would have died during the procedure. The ambulance attendees refused to take her back to Sea Breeze, they took her to the ER, where she was kept on the critical care unit over 30 days. She was released three dYs ago with a treache. She is back in ER, her kidneys have shut down and the doctors are running tests to find out what happened in three days at Sea Breeze. We are preparing for the worst.

I VISIT THIS FACILITY OFTEN WHEN I'M IN TOWN AND THE STAFF IS ALWAYS WONDERFUL! IT'S AN OLDER BUILDING BUT VERY WELL KEPT. MY AUNT GETS GREAT CARE THERE AND HAS FOR YEARS. SHE IS TREATED LIKE SHE IS A PART OF THEIR FAMILY AND WE REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!

I was not personally pleased with what I saw in the nursing home. The building was understaffed and fairly crowded. Each floor had roughly four visible members of the staff. The building itself was old, a repurposed building from the sixties or seventies if I am not mistaken and was pretty run down and just did not look like a place that provided good care. Upon entering the building, there was no security, no greeter, just a small sign in book. One that anyone can pick up at an office supply store. I do not recall seeing any security cameras either. The floors were dirty and there was a strong smell that was present in all parts of the building that I visited. The rooms themselves were small. The room I visited was roughly three-quarters of the size of a normal hospital room and had two people in it. The equipment also seemed out of date and very well used. The staff was, at the very least, pleasant.
