My mother moved into The Neighborhood at Cullman. The thing I liked about the Cullman was the size of it. It wasn't too big, and it wasn't too small. It seems to have been updated recently. Everything looked in good shape. The people were really nice and friendly, and, same with the residents that were there. The staff seem to be knowledgeable and extremely friendly. My mom commented that she really liked the food, that it was very good. They have a daily exercise program, they also have different games set up during the week for them. They have a monthly program where they post all the activities that month. It seemed like they have a lot of variety of activities for them. They provided a small refrigerator and a microwave. They have a courtyard.

I'm living in The Neighborhood at Cullman and I like it, so far. It's a very nice place, we have good supervision, we are cared for, and have plenty of help. I also like my room. The place is beautiful with lots of flowers and a garden. They have an old-fashioned-looking porch with rocking chairs so it's nice out there. Of course, it's been so hot so I haven't been out there much, but that part is nice. I have a 1-bedroom apartment and I love it. I look out at Catoma Lake and all the birds out there. It's just a pleasant place to be and it's a wonderful view. My bedroom and living room are pretty much the same size so I have plenty of room. All I have is a bed and a chair so it's big. I don't need anything else and I'm just very satisfied. The dining area is very nice. They always have tablecloths on the tables. The food is good. Some days are better than others but most of the time it's good. For activities, we have bingo. We have a program with this guy Willie. He gets all of us involved in songs like he would have us sing a couple of phrases of the songs. This Thursday, we are going to go to the Sportsman Lake Park and spend the day there fishing and doing different stuff. I see birds from my window here too and they're so pleasant to watch so I want to find out more about them. The staff members are very, very helpful. If you need help, they're there. During the night, they come in and check on you a couple of times. If you have any complaints, they will take care of them. It's been wonderful. I don't have to buy groceries, and I don't have to do my washing or anything like that. They wash it for me, bring it to me, and hang it up or put it away so it's great. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Morningside of Cullman was very nice, right next to the hospital. I was very impressed with it, it was fairly clean. It didn't have a lot of accommodations like swimming pools and stuff, but the swimming pool in the hospital was just right across the street. When I was there, my friend just came back from swimming. The place is well kept. My friend, who was a good cook, said the food was good. My friend's room has a sitting room, a bedroom, and a small bath. It had a beautiful view of the lake and really large nice picture windows.

Morningside was more of a richly place. The staff was good. The food and everything seemed to be good. The rooms were nice. They had bingo and bocce ball. They involve them in a lot of things, and they don't just keep them in the facility. They take them shopping. It's a nice place.

I lived in Cullman; that's why I visited Morningside of Cullman. It was OK, but it just did not have all the features that the other facility I saw has to offer. First impression was that it was nice and the staff was polite; however, the suites were not large enough. The room was just one large room. Nevertheless, they have a very nice dining room. It was clean and well decorated. Also, they offered board games and card games. The staff was very professional.

What I really like about Morningside of Cullman was that it doesn't look like a nursing home facility. I was impressed that it was more like an apartment situation. It was very clean, very nice and very homey

Morningside is a simply beautiful community that caters to seniors in the prime of their senior lives. The facility is beautifully decorated with high end furnishings. The staff is well trained and attentive. The staff keeps the residents busy with many activities such as Movies, Educational classes, Bingo, Bridge, Exercise classes and outings to shop and play golf. The facility is located on a good size lake stocked with fish so those who love to fish can do so. The grounds are gorgeous very peaceful and serene. The staff makes sure they go above and beyond to make sure that all needs are met. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. The food is well planned and prepared with all diets in mind. The food is made daily from scratch with healthy choices. I was impressed with the level of commitment from the staff to make sure the residents have all they need to have amazing lives. I felt a real peace of mind here and the residents seem to feel that way also. I highly recommend this facility.
