We toured Columbia Cottage Hartselle. It was smaller, so there weren't as many residents there. It was very nicely decorated. It was clean, and the people were very friendly, informative, and answered all our questions. We met both the staff people that showed us around, and we met a couple of the resident ladies in one of their common living areas. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. They showed us the dining room, which was very nice. It was fairly small, but very spacious for the number of people that they have. It didn't look like an industrial type dining area, but more of an in-home type experience.

From the front porch rockers to all the friendly staff, I can say we were very impressed with this facility. The atmosphere is very Home like and they made my Mother and I feel very Welcome when we came for a visit with her sister. My Aunt who lives at the Cottage is very Happy being here. We do recommend them and are pleased with the care they provide.

Everything was wonderful at Columbia Cottage. If I were ready to put my mom in an assisted living complex, this would be the top of my choices. The place was nice, and the staff was very friendly. The place was gorgeous. The rooms were of nice size, and they were clean. They repaint and recarpet them every time a resident move. They are well kept as well.

My mother was a resident of this facility before she became ill and passed away. The staff were very caring and attentive. They were so helpful to us during the time we had to move my mother's belongings out of the facility. While there my mother enjoyed her very large room that included a small kitchenette area so she could keep drinks and snacks available to her. She appreciated the delicious meals, large public areas and the lovely grounds and gardens. She also was glad to be in a facility that checked on her but also allowed her the ability to continue to be somewhat independent. We also felt that the cost of the facility was reasonable and worth the accommodations and care she received.
