Hoping you see this, you guys cannot get my food order right at all and no fresh fruit like asked and why all the peppers? Please double check my order and seriously the candied pecan egg salad you guys pretty much have on every menu is the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted or seen in my life.

It was very apparent this place, especially when family members cannot see what is happening, is only interested in being a revolving door for Medicare money and care of the people they are trusted with is not a consideration.
Do not trust your loved ones here. My mother is not better and they truly don’t care.

My mother-in-law lived at Hampton at Post Oak for a number of years. It's very nice and professionally run.

Brookdale Galleria looks like you are staying in the hotel. The people were very friendly and courteous. They play card games.

My Father has been in this expensive facility for less than a month. In that tiime, my father witnessed an aide going through his desk early in the morning. He has not had heat for days. He is afraid to take a shower because of a leak in his bathroom. My Father is fearful of slipping on the wet floor. I do not recommend this facility. and give it my lowest rating.

My wife was at brookdale galleria's skilled nursing center for 5 1/2 weeks in September / October 2015. She had fallen and shattered her left shoulder and had surgery to put in a new steel ball and socket, and after 3 days in hospital was sent to Brookdale Galleria for care and rehabilitation.
She is 79 years old and suffers from "mild to moderate" dementia (short term memory loss).
When she was discharged, her range of motion for her damaged left arm was very low .. she could lift her hand to pant pocket height only; she had urinary tract infection (UTI); and she weighed 4 pounds less, at 90 pounds, than when she entered.
I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED, and feel she was discharged way too early!
So what worked and what did not?
What worked:
- food is excellent
- valet parking service works well
- staff is friendly and try to help
What did not work?
- the right hand did not know what the left hand is doing
- she was supposed to have range of motion therapy as requested by the surgeon. She got occupational therapy, which tried to build her strength and help her walk; result - shoulder not nearly fixed.
- she got urinary tract infection after using a catheter after admission. Antibiotics were given for 2 weeks after infection, but subsequent test for UTI never given. At my insistence, a urine sample was taken 8 days after being ordered, and urinary tract infection ( UTI) was positive and given one day before discharge, much later than should have been. The infection had NOT been eliminated.
care is not enough .. you may have to employ independent caregivers out of your own pocket. I spent $19 per hour 6 days a week, 4 hours a day in the morning, for 4 of the 5 1/2 weeks to make sure her toilet needs and personal care issues were met. And I personally spent 4 hours a day there in the afternoon / evening every day for 5 1/2 weeks, partly to shake things up and make sure stuff was done. 3 or 4 of the patients, out of roughly 15 had personal caregivers 24/7
Enough said, my personal experience was disappointing.

I didn't even want to give one star. Stay Away. Go to the Forum. If this is skilled nursing, they forgot to tell their nurses. You have to be able to fend for yourself at this facility. They do not check on you at all at night. Stay away.

He is at Broodale Galleria in Houston, Texas. It has skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent living. It is a very nice place. It is very clean and nice looking. The care has been very good. The nurses are good, and the food is good. I don't have really anything bad to say about it. I would recommend this to other seniors. My father is in the skilled nursing so he is more limited. For him they have bingo and ice cream socials.

My mother was in skilled nursing after a stroke for rehabilitation. The nurses were ok but most of the aides were lazy and scolded my mom if she went to the bathroom in her diaper. She would ring for the nurse or aid and sometimes it took 15 minutes or longer for them to show up. Also, the food was terrible to the point where I would have to bring her lunch just so she would eat. I would not send her back there.

I feel compelled to write this review, because this facility has a lot of work to get the 5 star rating I saw on the hospital list of recommendations. The nurses and CNAs are great! The place is clean. My mother only saw the resident doctor once after she was there 4 weeks and he stopped by early one morning for about 5 min. The place was undergoing an ownership change which made it worse. The supervisor wouldn't speak with me regarding my concerns and positive suggestions. They changed out her furniture with her in the room. She watched them load her things into plastic bags which were thrown on the floor where they sat for at least 12 hours waiting for her to ask for help to hang them back up. Her bed was changed and they forgot the bedrails! She couldn't get up by herself for more than 2 weeks without bedrails. Rehab services were not given to everyone on weekends, so she stayed in bed all weekend in diapers. The food was HORRIBLE and often nothing was served to her. No one bothered to check on her or noticed she went without meals. The nutritionists yelled at us when they were reprimanded and we got the blame daily. When interviewing the facilities, the various directors seemed so loving and caring, and even gave their cell numbers so we could reach them anytime 24/7. They didnt answer or return calls amd were nowhere to be found when needed. The social services department released my mother, who still couldn't walk or go to the bathroom by herself, to go home without assessment or inspections of home safety environment. She has not had proper medicare supervision since she went home 2 weeks ago. No shower, no walker, no wheelchair, no potty chair, no support. We have called 4 times in 7 days! I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone I love!

The nurses were excellent, the administration was uncaring and the doctor took 14 days to sign my father's death certificate. He sat in a refrigerator.
