Moved my dad to the memory care unit aT Presbyterian Home in Columbia a year ago. We could. Not be more satisfied with the care and services. My dad is so happy and content. His room is lovey and the environment is very homey. The staff are compassion, caring and professional. Residents don't sit around as there is always something f scheduled for them to do. It's a clean facility and the bery best in my opinion.

My mother is at Presbyterian Home, and her care is very good. The staff is friendly and caring. They have a gym and a church right on the campus. They have all kinds of activities for them all the time, and they have a bus that takes them somewhere. Their rooms are beautiful and so is the dining room where they do most of their socializing. They even have a walking path down to the river. It’s just a beautiful campus. It’s really good for somebody that wants to leave their home and go there. It’s not the same as home, but it’s beautiful, the residents love it, and the people are very friendly. They have lots of other friends to mingle with.

Columbia Presbyterian is a very nice place. My mom is in a semi-private room. It had a little more privacy and had a little more space. It was also nice. I had problems with some of her clothes going missing there, but I like the place. Most of the staff is very good. I ran into one or two people there that I really liked. They have activities, but my mother was not really in a position to participate. I like the environment. It's very clean, pleasant and a fairly healthy attitude. But it was also a little bit out of my budget.

I would have dropped in to see the facility and its residents unannounced before letting my mother stay there. For instance, some residents, my mother included, were left to sit in their waste for full shifts. We had many issues and problems.
