The people seemed pretty happy to work there. All of the nurses were able to answer our questions thoroughly. I cant say that I had any complaints. The food was very good. The residents seemed to enjoy it, I know i did. All the residents seemed to be neat and well taken care of. When ever my uncle needed to be changed the staff was right no it. We never met my Uncle with a soiled diaper. This to me was very impressive. The upkeep of the facility however could of been a little better. I feel like there was something they could of done to control the whole smell of the place. Sometimes but not all the place smelled like a dump I'm sorry to say. The building is kind of old but I feel like they could have done a better job with keeping the place looking tidy. The mental state of the residents was as good as you could possibly hope for people in that situation. Every time I walked into the facility there was an activity going on. It was either bingo or music going on most of the time. I must say that the staff treated all residents with respect and dignity even though it might have been difficult to do so. Some of the residents were just really difficult but the staff somehow found a way around every awkward situation. I really don't know how thy do it sometimes. Overall I would recommend this facility to a friend. The pros definitely outweigh the cons.
