My mother is in Green Houses at Traceway Retirement Community in Tupelo. She has full-time care. It's a nursing home. They give great care and they look after her. The Green Houses are like a family home. There are only 10 to 12 residents in each home. Everything's nice. They're friendly and they do whatever she needs. They have the kitchen and their own dining table and a living room with the recliners and she has her own room. It's big enough. It's like a standard size room and it has its own bathroom with a shower. Each room has it's own shower, a bathroom and a nice window at the back, cable and the air-conditioner controls. They let you decorate it like you want to.

Caretakers seldom spoke to resident or family members. Very unfriendly. Heard caretakers fussing about a resident out loud in common area. Extremely poor communication with family when resident fell and also when resident was in terrible pain and distress.

I have visited this facility many times delivering flowers to residents. The staff were always friendly. The nurses seemed to care for the patients very well. The facility was always clean and decorated very nicely. The colors that they used to decorate were of a restful nature. The residents all seemed to be content with the care they were receiving at Cedars Health Center. Although many wished for home and more family visits, they seemed very well cared for. One lady in particular received regular flower deliveries from her son. He lived in California and was not able to visit as he would have like to. All the staff were very fond of her. When they would see me coming with flowers, they would always peek in on her so she could show them the flowers. She passed away and was mourned by the whole staff who said she was the bright spot in their day because she was always happy and smiling. Overall with the caring staff including nurses, housekeepers, and the grounds keepers this is a well run very clean and comfortable facility. I would consider Cedars Health Center for assisted living for either myself or for a family member.
