My grandmother was at Ross Manor. She was in their skilled unit, Memory Care and Long Term Care. The staff were great, they cared for her with such compassion. Ross Manor is a beautiful facility.

My dad is in Ross Manor in Bangor. They've changed staff since he's been in there so it's a challenging time, I think, for everybody. I don't think it would be fair to rate them on that though because they have no control over the pandemic and it's been challenging for everybody. Where he is, in rehab, has been fine. It's clean and the staff that's working with him have been very responsive and they do the best they can. My dad doesn't complain about the food. It's an unusual situation because he really needs to be in long-term care and he's actually in rehab. They're doing the best they can to accommodate him but they're not able to watch him the way he needs to be so it's just a different situation. My mom's there throughout the day though to make sure he's safe.

My mother was in Ross Manor for a few months. Dirty housekeeping, ants and even seen mice and droppings. Very stingy with the food, no attendent when needed. Have to wait a long time. Rude nurses, cloths were stolen out of closet. The state should look into this facility. The also have a contract with PCHS but wont tell you that and after Ross Manor billing you $11,000 a month, PCHS also bills you $4,000 a month for nurses that never even show up. Borderline insurance fraud. Stay away from this place. It is a shame to have seniors live in this situation.
