I am currently staying here. It's wonderful nursing care. Anything that you need, they follow through. I have a shared room. We have individual beds, and we have two bathrooms. It is very well kept and cleaned sometimes a couple of times a day or sometimes one time a day. The floor is scrubbed and swept every day. It's usually the same thing for breakfast, but they change it sometimes. Food is never, never warm. They give you grits that are cold and your eggs are cold. Anything you get is cold.
They get you up and put you in a wheelchair. I exercise my leg and they do, too. They keep track of you. If you get out of line, they will tell you don't go in certain areas. They have certain areas for people who are on vacation. There are restricted areas, and there's somebody there to tell you that all the time. Each table in their dining area is decorated with flowers. They put your food out for you. They pick up everything after you. The dining area is clean.
I've been in quarantine for 14 days, so I'm limited to the place where I'm quarantined. You can't go out, you have to wear a mask, and you wear certain clothing. They are on top of safety. I have a roommate that needs special attention and she walks around all the time and as far as keeping us safe, there is somebody that watches us all the time. If you get out of your space, they will let you know and put you right back in bed. Safety-wise, they are very good at watching you. They have everything that is needed to be organized and to be safe no matter what you do.

My mother is currently here. If she does come out, she will be in a nursing home with a hospice in the same center. They can provide nursing care and allow hospice care. She's been there for four weeks now. It's a very clean facility. The people that are there really care about the residents and their health. They have been excellent with my mother. Although she is not happy about having to go to rehab, she is much happier there and she feels like she's getting excellent care. We're very pleased with what we have experienced so far.
Currently, she's in a shared room, but she will be going to a private room. They have planned activities for them. They allow visitors on a limited basis right now because of Covid. They're still working on their visitation policy now that the mask mandate has been lifted, but they're still taking extreme precautions with the patients. They just started back their group activities, and they have activity managers who encourage the residents to participate in those activities. She said the food is very good. It's an older building, but it's clean and it's laid out well. They are trying to do renovations to the building.

Park Place's (Scepter Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center) rooms were pretty well-maintained. They could use a couple more staff on the floor because they have a lot of people in there. The food is average. My mom has been having rehab with them for two weeks now. The quality of care is a lot better here than where my mom stayed.
